15 YEARS OF MARDUKITES — A MODERN LEGACY

Although Mardukite Ministries (Mardukite Research Org. / Mardukite Truth Seeker Press) launched in 2008, the actual inception of a functional organization or group directed by mystic philosopher Joshua Free — originally known as the Mardukite Chamberlains (Council of Nabu-Tutu / Ordo Nabu Maerdechai) — occurred in early 2009 during the Akiti Spring Babylonian New Year; and soon after, observed its first official global synchronized ritual observance for Beltane 2009.

Fifteen years later, in 2024, the original Mardukite Research Org. still continues today (a legacy now maintained by The Joshua Free Imprint / JFI Publications). The main Org. has since evolved into two separate but interconnected traditions: Mardukite Zuism (Mesopotamian Neopaganism) and the Mardukite Systemology Society (New Standard Systemology). Starting in 2020, all development and distribution of official material has been overseen by the Mardukite Academy of Systemology.

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE MARDUKITE “NECRONOMICON” AND “ANUNNAKI BIBLE”

The Spring 2009 inception of the Research Org. sparked a pattern of treating “research phases” (or “years“) on a March-to-March calendar basis. A decision to develop the “Mardukite Core” (of literary materials) as a “cycle” of NECRONOMICON work was unanimously agreed with by the original Chamberlains — all of which were esoteric practitioners that were previously familiar with a Babylonian-Anunnaki-Mardukite motif (from an occult perspective) as a result of the spiritually lackluster and academically incomplete 1977 Simon Necronomicon.

The first installment of the “cycle” duplicated material used during the 2009 Beltane Gate “cementing” of a modern “Mardukite” tradition (or paradigm) in human consciousness. (The very fact that you are reading this now, in 2024 or later, is evidence that the original intention has endured.)

A limited release (Lapis Edition) of the first installment — known simply as Liber-N, or the 1st Edition of the “Necronomicon by Joshua Free” — became available to underground members of the Mardukite Chamberlains on the 2009 Summer Solstice, exactly one year after the original launch of the Mardukite movement (with the 2008 publication of Arcanum).

Additional developments for inclusion in the “Core” (“cycle“) arrived throughout the 2009 summer and autumn — providing for limited printings of Liber-L and Liber-G installments.

A limited commercial hardcover publication featuring all of Liber-N, along with early portions of Liber-L, was arranged by Joshua Free with Tracy R. Twyman’s publishing company as the 2nd Edition of the “Necronomicon by Joshua Free.” This marked the first Mardukite material commercially available to the general public (starting in August 2009). It would take another decade — upon its 10th Anniversary (in 2019) — for a significantly revised and more complete edition to commercially appear again in hardcover (as Necronomicon: The Anunnaki Bible).

The completed “Year-1” “Mardukite Core” was combined together for the first time in early 2010 — as the 3rd Edition (with a limited underground release as the title “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible“). It contained Liber-N, Liber-L, Liber-G, and Liber-9, as well as supplemental articles. By the end of 2010, a 4th Edition was prepared for wider public distribution (the first “Anunnaki Bible” to commercially appear in print).

Several new installments of the “Mardukite Core” appeared during Mardukite R&D “Year-2” (2010) and “Year-3” (2011). Only some of this newer material was officially incorporated into the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” for its 5th Edition (published in 2012). This included the Tablet-W series first published as Book of Marduk by Nabu (now also available as Anunnaki Prayers); and English translations of the Tablet-M series that first appeared in The Maqlu Ritual Book (and now also available as Anunnaki Rites).

By 2014, a new Tablet-S series (“Book of Sajaha/Shayaha the Seer“) had been translated and integrated into the “Core” — which appeared in the 6th Edition release. This marked the final addition to the Mardukite Tablet-Series Catalogue to fully complete the originally intended “Anunnaki Bible” project. From this point onward, the main body of the Mardukite “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” changed little, although an additional decade would be spent continuing to revise and perfect the cornerstone volume.

COSMIC HISTORY and the NEW Approach to Opening “Gates” of Higher Realization using Mardukite Zuism Systemology

“The most ancient recorded chronicle of our Cosmic History on Earth—that which includes cosmological information predating even the existence of Life on Earth—is best found on cuneiform120 tablets; and among these, the “Babylonian Epic of Creation” known to scholars as the Enuma Eliš, so named for its opening lines. Unfortunately, even in ancient Babylon, these and other Arcane Tablets functionally assisted those that sought further fragmentation and successive programming of the Human Condition rather than liberating it. This is another pattern that we have seen many times since whenever similarly derived paradigms sought to provide any aid to the spiritual “Rescue Mission” (via “defragmentation of the Human Condition”) presently taking place in the Physical Universe and on Earth… In fact, these efforts have been going on for quite some time—so long, in fact, that it seems as if all the interested parties have already now arrived here.”

[This Mardukite Zuism (and Systemology) blog post is officially excerpted from the new Grade-IV (Wizard Level 0), Mardukite Systemology Liber-3C installment titled: “Now You Know! The Truth About Universes & How You Got Stuck in One” by Joshua Free with contributions and foreword by David Zibert.]

In previous Grade-III instruction, particularly “The Tablets of Destiny: Using Ancient Wisdom to Unlock Human Potential,” a basic systemological interpretation of themes and events for the Enuma Eliš are provided to base descriptions and illustrate the Standard Model of Systemology (and Mardukite Zuism). This is of significant benefit to a Mardukite Seeker continuing from the Grade-II “Mardukite Core.”

At the completion of Grade-III Mardukite Systemology–which includes all materials found in the Master Edition hardcover collected works anthology “The Systemology Handbook” including “The Tablets of Destiny” and “Crystal Clear” by Joshua Free–a Seeker is expected to have mostly “flattened the waves” that collapsed around even those considerations fixed to the ancient Mesopotamian semantics from which our Systemology is originally drawn. It may be very accurately stated that our applied Systemology is a further development of what was discovered in our revival of “Mardukite Zuism.” It directly prompted the discovery of an applied spiritual technology for the 21st Century AD that is clearly present during the 21st Century BC; from the time of the “Age of Aries” (c. 2160 B.C.) and the official Mardukite Babylonian systematization that has carried through to today.

Does this mean we are, in any way, rejecting the historical premise on which we first drew our knowledge? …certainly not. But, let us just say that it took thousands of years to uncover (or recover, depending on your perspective) and translate the cuneiform source of global cosmologies, mythologies and creation myths from ancient Babylon—the Enuma Eliš—and in more than a century since its widespread academic circulation in the late 1800’s, it has still taken until now to develop any workable cohesion of its information for any effective spiritual ideal or application other than exploration of its cultural mythology as a series of esoteric symbols and traditions. This is very much akin to the understanding and knowledge that hovers around that first level or “Gate” of realizations; which we have markedly explored within parameters of the Grade-I Route of Magic & Mysticism with an intention that a Seeker will “flatten” the programming that keeps them suspended as the “effect” of that level of understanding.

During personal investigations into evolutions of Western mysticism, which led to the formal 2008 launch of Mardukite Ministries (Mardukite Zuism), one key avenue from Grade-I served as a greater platform then any other for an early precursor to our NexGen Systemology, notably referred to as “Druidism.” This information is explored directly in our material for the Grade-I Route of Druidism & The Dragon Legacy. It is actually on this very foundation, and explorations into the origins of ancient Druidism, that led the present author to decide upon Mesopotamia (and specifically Babylon) as a “public” emphasis for further esoteric developments—which were continued underground, by the Mardukite Chamberlains (Mardukite Research Organization), from 2009 until 2012, when the Grade-II “Mardukite Core” reached its completion; and the second “Gate” dislodged.

NexGen A.T. Actualized Technicians (Systemology Wizards)

For the next eight years, “Mardukite Systemology” developed quietly in the underground as a futurist or “NexGen” movement dedicated to achieving the “next step” on this Pathway—one that would inevitably up and out of the “systems” that had been laid out to entrap the occupation and ensnare the attentions, willpower and spiritual energy of the true “Self” to this beta-existence. How then might we use the best of what we had found effective and workable to return the individual Seeker toward the direction that they truly occupy as an “Alpha” condition in a higher spiritual plane? “We may take these words for granted today, but we are mistaken when using them interchangeably. Even the Sumerians, in their original development of basic vocabulary, displayed a differentiation between the word ‘fate’ (nam) and ‘destiny,’ displayed in Sumerian cuneiform with the combination of the signs: nam (‘fate’) and tar (‘to cut’); or namtar, meaning literally ‘to decree (or ordain) fate.’ And while the more ‘advanced’ language developed, and Akkadian (Babylonian) includes a great many additional words in its vocabulary, we find the two concepts suddenly blurred even then into a single expression: šīmāti (pronounced ‘shye-may-tee’) to denote ‘destiny’ or ‘what is fixed and established.’ In esoteric and mystical instances, it is no wonder that each subsequent culture in Mesopotamia would continue to borrow many former Sumerian terms for their own language, especially as a ‘sacred,’ ‘religious’ or otherwise ‘magical’ language—just as we see in the case of the Assyrians (and others) that continued to perform rituals and speak incantations in former Akkadian and Sumerian tongues. Even today many prefer to practice their most obscure ‘magical rites’ in some foreign Latin or Greek—or Enochian, and so on.”

For Beltane in 2009, the presiding Nabu Maerdechai, Joshua Free banded together with other Mardukites all over the globe to conduct a synchronized “opening” of the MARDUK Gate. In normal operations, this would be done alone and closed at the end of the rite. For BELTANE 2009, the South Gate was strongly thrust open by many dedicates and left open to all until the End of Days—to the gain of all devotees who wish to access the current of MARDUK directly. Much insight has been “accessed” as a result of this work and for those who have followed the work closely and rightfully call themselves Marduk’s Chamberlains…

The immediate result of this gate-work at the “Mardukite Office” was disclosed as the corpus-body of literary materials now composing an entire library! As Joshua Free explained in a recent NBR interview: “When we conducted the [original] Beltane Gate working, we did not have any of the ‘Mardukite-specific’ materials at our disposal. We are no longer dependent on sparse discourses of esoteric archaeology or even that [Simon] book anymore and will be able to have a wider pool of suggestions for the [upcoming] 2019 reprise…”

The evening of April 30 (May’s Eve) is considered the potentially most powerful time for Gate-workings from “our” side. Annually it appears opposite the more famous Samhain/Halloween threshold, and practitioners of the tradition continue to hold meditative (internal) and ceremonial (ritualized) Star Gate workings on this night.

The “key” to the Dimensions opens daily when the “Great Bear hangs from its tail…” but it appears to be most significant at Beltane when it occurs just before the midnight threshold. For example, Beltane 2009 on APRIL 30 was the sixth day of the moon and the Gate opened at approximately 11:30 PM.

Mardukite Ministries, later known as the Mardukite Chamberlains [Ordo Nabu Maerdechai] supports modern “Mardukites”—those who acknowledge a living tradition composed of a belief in the existence and contribution of the ANUNNAKI, working in a tradition based on the writings of NABU, the prophet-scribe and son of the Babylonian figure named MARDUK, who is hailed as “Lord of the Earth” by Babylonian accounts.
