It was 14 years ago, on the Summer Solstice of 2008 that Joshua Free (formerly known as Merlyn Stone in the 1990’s) emerged from a seven-year journey in the underground, out of sight from the general public, and launched what became a fundamentally new genre of the modern New Age with the inception of the Mardukite Research Org and the original Mardukite Truth Seeker Press (now the Joshua Free Imprint or JFI Publishing) premiere presentation of The Great Magickal Arcanum.
But what is more likely to have been far more memorable to many of those following along for over a decade is the launch of the Mardukite Chamberlains, coinciding with the Global Beltane Gate Ritual of 2009 and its annual revisiting for each year since — and we have been active and avidly working all this time on one purpose or project or another.
While there are many newcomers that were perhaps not around for the original event, the Mardukite Office has consistently encouraged a synchronous observance of this annual ‘threshold’ every year… and each year our movement has grown; enlarged itself with increased membership — and also the publication of titles and editions that consistently help drive the economics behind new developments.
Most recently, on Beltane 2020, our energetic intentions were directed to drive forward the acquisition and development of a more permanent home for the Mardukite Offices and within two months, the Mardukite Borsippa HQ was established in the Colorado San Luis Valley, now the global home and headquarters for the Founding Church of Mardukite Zuism, Mardukite Academy and Systemology Society.

Last year, in 2021, our efforts shifted to establishing a stronger presence for Mardukite Systemology and the work that would ‘bridge’ Grade-IV to Grade-V. Within only a few months, starting in the Summer of 2021, a new series of workshops and the “Freedom From” lectures were given at the Mardukite Academy and now compose the newly released volume Way of the Wizard by Joshua Free — specifically planned for global distribution premiering on Beltane 2022.
Also released today, for Beltane 2022, is the Mardukite Academy revised second edition of the underground classic Crystal Clear by Joshua Free.

Many antiquated scholarly references to the “Books of Fferyllt” or the “Pheryllt” themselves may be found by a diligent scholar (many of which are paraphrased in this special anniversary collector’s edition of “The Pheryllt Researches”). While the efforts of “Mardukite Zuism” have become public over the past year, many are unaware that origins of this brand of “Mesopotamian Neopaganism” were first presented officially in 2009, embedded within various works by Joshua Free. Even this vision, along with the premise for “NexGen Systemology” were all presented quite blatantly to those within his inner circle, starting in 2008. In fact, if one were to investigate some of the more advanced applications and suggestions for the “Crystal Dawn” presented in the 1990’s while still writing as “Merlyn Stone” (and contained within the appendix of the most recent edition of The Sorcerer’s Handbook), one will eventually realize that this was the planned direction of things all along… and now realized in 2020 as the result of a quarter-of-a-century underground journey culminated by this 25th Silver Anniversary of the Joshua Free’s public presentations and underground involvement.
As with any tradition, system, methodology or brand of new age NewSpeak, the “Mardukites” and its “Systemology” has come up against its share of scrutiny, biased reviews and blatant attacks over the past 12 years–and we have survived, working now–right this moment–to secure a permanent foundation for the organization and headquarters only 11 miles southwest of our existing Mardukite Babylon Ancient Astronomy Primitive Reserch Center and Preserve. More new on this is expected to unfold very soon and progressively through the next several years.
MARDUKITE ZUISM & SYSTEMOLOGY IS HERE TO STAY!
It is important for us to make note of this, because those who are otherwise unfamiliar with our work may simply be googling or looking at news articles, which at the time of writing this blog are all focused around the events and politics surrounding “Icelandic Zuism” and the “Zuist Church of Iceland” of which we, as the Church of Mardukite Zuism, have no official ties with–in fact there have been no communications at all between the two groups. Perhaps the only thing that associates the two together is that they are bother referred to as “Zuism” or “Zuist” traditions and emphasize an interest in Mesopotamian Neopaganism; although, as we would expect, the Icelandic Zuists are essentially a neo-Sumerian interpretation of a potential modern Anunnaki religion in contrast to our Mardukite Babylonian one. In either case, there is much evidence to suggest that the Icelandic Zuist tradition does not have much longer to go as an official organization–its leadership already usurped once and most of its focus on the national “tax” laws regarding religion in Iceland. Most of the information to be found outside of “Mardukite Zuism” including popular pdfs on “Zuist Doctrines” &tc. are actually not issued by the Zuist Churches and instead have been developed by independent practitioners that work to support their own denominations of “Zuism.”

Everyone thinks they pretty much have a handle of what’s going on in existence and the topic of the Necronomicon is certainly no exception. People “believe” they know what they know about any given topic and they base that on their own perceived “experience.” They continue to validate things from within that knowledge and things continue to be real within that experience. That’s “reality.” That’s what you perceive to be “real,” meaning that your way of perceiving the world will continue to conform to your beliefs about your world, as has been proven time and time again. Elsewhere in Joshua Free’s “Introduction” to the NECRONOMICON ANUNNAKI BIBLE or COMPLETE ANUNNAKI BIBLE (and NECRONOMICON: THE COMPLETE ANUNNAKI LEGACY) we read:
“As above; so below. As within; so without. As the Universe; so the self. Know Thyself. Heaven and Hell come from within one’s own mind. Life is a mirror – You observe what you reflect. The sciences and technologies shall darken everywhere the hopes of Men. All relationships not in a state of Agreement shall fall. Whenever you affirm: “I am…” and add “something” – this is a form of “enslavement to consciousness.” The true “I-of-Self” is not restricted to any conception of “persona-personality-programming” that you have “experienced” in the surface reality or world. QED: the true “I of you” has never been “thirsty,” never been “angry”. Do you want to prove it? The next time you have this “experience,” observe it from self. The very idea that you can do this proves it is not “real.” If it was from the “I-of-you” it would not be a “thing” to be “observed” by you at all. It would be you! If you can “artificially” create experiences in your mind, what does that tell you? Self is to be found at the core of your being. “Simon’s research into the ‘Celestial Gate’ is intriguing. He suggests that the ‘Great Bear’ constellation is the ‘astral key’ that activates the Gate from the earth perspective, when the bear ‘hangs from its tail.’ How curious—this actually happens every day! But, it is not only the event itself, but the timing or threshold that is significant—it is when the remaining ‘stars are aligned’ that the Gate is functional from our side.”
“Where much has been written elsewhere concerning Samhain—October 31—when this ‘Celestial Gate’ is most accessible from the other side, it is really at the other half of the year, at Beltane—April 30—when this alignment happens shortly before midnight, a natural ceremonial time for such mystical work. If this is correct, it suggests a convergence in ‘earth-time’ with ‘heaven-time.’ Ceremonial execution would then require a delicate calculation of sun-cycles, lunar-cycles and stellar-cycles. So, now the seeker must put the ‘gate-theory’ into perspective. Not only is it something that happens “naturally” on a daily basis, it is observed (and apparently ceremonially effective) only under the most opportune times, and then too, subject to a calculation that might be mistaken. Where then, does the fear come from for ‘leaving this gate open for too long’…?”

“A quick consolidation of Lovecraftian lore combined with Simonian and Mardukite ‘Gate’ research and lore, all point toward a the threshold time taking place during the ancient annual ‘Beltane’ festival. Popularized by the Celts and Druids, there does appear to be some ‘otherworldly’ significance here. Lovecraft explains that the time is optimal for receiving primordial knowledge via the ‘whisperer in darkness’—strangely echoing the ceremonial magician’s ‘voice in the silence,’ alluded to in various transcendental occult materials. Lovecraft writes in his prose of the same name, titled: “The Whisperer in Darkness”—
“Former experience had told him May Eve – the hideous Sabbat night of underground European legend – would probably be more fruitful than any other date, and he was not disappointed…”

Developments of the Mardukite Chamberlains (Mardukite Research Organization) continued on into the years that followed the original Beltane observation and the development of “Necronomicon: The Anunnaki Bible” in 2009. The following Beltane 2010 was just as monumental for the developments of the Mardukite esoteric research library. The following is excerpted from the “Mardukite Chamberlains Chronicles” kept during their second year of research and discovery of the Grade-II Core. The full text is included in the Mardukite Master Course, of which Grade-II appears in the appendix of “Necronomicon: The Complete Anunnaki Legacy.”
ORIGINAL 2009 BROADCAST:
Mardukite Beltane (May 1) 2010 observations were synchronized with the release of two very important additions to Grade-II; GATES OF THE NECRONOMICON (Liber-50) and THE BOOK OF MARDUK BY NABU (Liber-W), which found its way into later editions of NECRONOMICON: THE ANUNNAKI BIBLE as Tablet-W.
Liber-50 increases an effective working understanding of the basic nature and functions of the “Star-Gate-System” esoterically embedded beneath the structure of the ancient Mardukite Babylonian systemology. The discourse includes critical information regarding the evolution of Babylonian (and Mardukite) culture from a former “Sumerian” one. Yet, when we compare the lore to the earlier delivered Grade-I work—particularly the Liber-D Series—it is clear that Babylon is the absolute “end all” of the Seeker’s pursuits in unifying an understanding of the Human Condition across the timeline of history. In fact, in Babylon, we witness a significant turning point affecting nearly all cultural traditions, beliefs and spirituality emerging after.
Once a seeker has been “initiated” into the great “Mesopotamian Mysteries” of the Ancient School and Babylonian temple of Nabu to Marduk, only then do we find reason to believe we can tap into even higher realizations of Awareness. It is only when the Seeker has approached true understanding hidden beneath the tradition explored in Grade-II in relative Self-Honesty that there is any chance of gleaning the greatest kept secrets of Babylon—the ancient equivalent to a global conspiracy that is still very present with us today, and which becomes the primary subject of the Grade-III material of “Mardukite Systemology.”
OVER TEN YEARS AGO the newly formed band of “Mardukite Chamberlains” (“Mardukite Research Organization”)—members of the underground “spiritual,” “occult” and “esoteric archaeology” community—received instructions during meditation for a synchronized global meditation working that would unleash a “New Age” of global consciousness on planet Earth toward the reconstruction of the “Anunnaki paradigm” in everyday life and the establishment of a “New Babylon” order in dedication to the “New Thought” principles of human potential and spiritual evolution gleaned from the most ancient tablets on the planet… and that was back in 2009…

Here we are in 2020 and we take a moment to look back on the legacy of Beltane both ancient and modern in this miniseries of blogposts!
“The Belteine or Beltane festival is named such after the ‘Fires of Bel’ or ‘Belinos’—most likely a remnant of Bel Marduk or known elsewhere in the Canaanite mutation of ‘Baal.’ It was actual on the dawn of an ancient Belteine when the Tuatha d’Anu arrived in Ireland and set fire to their own ships. The most commonly known tradition of May Day is the ‘May Pole’—a symbol of the ‘World Tree’ that is traditionally danced around while weaving ribbons hung from the top. ‘May Day’ is, of course, May 1st, though the festival begins the night before—on May’s Eve—with the construction of two large bonfires built side-by-side, which are then consecrated to Bel before set aflame. Ancient Celts marched their cattle in procession between these two flames as they led them out to pasture for the year. Some evening observances may be held, however this following rite is typically observed at noon.”

It is in many ways possible that proto-Druid and Celtic observations of “Beltane” resulted from the most significant event of the ancient nearly prehistoric legacy: the arrival of the Tuatha d’Anu (or Tuatha de Dannan) in Western Europe.
“Lore suggests that the ‘Children of the Stars’ [Tuatha d’Anu] arrived in Keltia on ‘Beltane’—May’s Eve—approximately five thousand years ago. The race or clan was socially represented by four primary ‘leaders’ or ‘warriors,’ each from a different city or capital in their ‘homelands’—wherever this might be, as the subject turns to the domain of legend…”

“They [Tuatha d’Anu] arrived there on Beltane (May Day or May’s Eve) ‘concealed in a magical fog or mist.’ While the European mainland lay off to the East and South of Ireland, the Tuatha D’Anu arrived from the North and West of the Island, settling first in the mountains of Western Ireland. This led many to believe they were the ‘People of the North’ or that they came from somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. But, their ships, on the other hand, were said to be of a “sky-nature,” which somehow caused an uncanny solar eclipse for the first three days of their arrival…”

Beltane is an unusual festival or annual cross-quarter event that is literally called the “Fires of Bel” or “Bel-teine.” The name “Bel” for “lord” or “god” being an obvious import from the Ancient Mystery School. In Celtic and Druidic tradition, this festival stood apart from all of the others as the most supreme “Fire Festival” in Keltia, observed with a bonfire, which could only be ignited by the most esoteric means:
“Many scholars today are of the mind that the Druid’s Gem ‘no larger than an apple’ was manufactured from glass—a substance linking the item to both the Motherhood of Avalon, residing on the ‘Isle of Apples’ (alternatively, the ‘Isle of Glas’ or ‘Glastonbury’) and the Welsh alchemical Druid fire-workers—the ‘Pheryllt.’ It has been further suggested by certain scholars, notably Lady Flavia Anderson in ‘The Ancient Secret,’ that the original serpent’s eggs were spheres of clear crystal used to light the Druidic Beltane ‘needfires’ via focused sunlight.”

In nearly all cultures that observe it, the annual Beltane threshold on the eve of May is a bridge between worlds, a critical doorway or bridge that greatly mirrors the significances held in regard to Samhain—taking place in “earth-time” exactly opposite in the year on the eve of November. In fact, a note regarding this even appears in The Draconomicon by Joshua Free (also available in Merlyn’s Complete Book of Druidism), stating “Although these types of evocation seem typical of Samhain, esoteric lore also indicates that the Beltane Gate is actually more accessible from “our” side, at the exactly opposite “peak” of the year.”
