Frequently Asked Questions – Mardukite Zuism and Systemology FAQs

Every day, newcomers are discovering the revolutionary writings of Joshua Free as he continues his work toward refining concise presentations of former texts and advancing toward higher and higher ‘ledges’ of knowingness that extend beyond the “normal” human condition. These writings suggest a coming age of ‘Metahuman’ evolution on the level of the actual ‘Spirit’ that operates this experience.

The following “FAQ” (Frequently Asked Questions) report was prepared in December 2019 during the public revival of the “Systemology Society” (after ten years underground) and the refinement of ‘Mardukite Chamberlains’ (Mardukite Research Org) work into an accessible facsimile of mesopotamian neopaganism as “Mardukite Zuism.”

This transcript is based on a video provided to the ‘Mardukite Chamberlains’ by one of its esteemed long-standing council-members, David Zibert. A version of this report first appeared in the original Systemology Liber-2C printing for the Mardukite Academy.

Why the “Necronomicon”?—Why do you use of the title “Necronomicon” to represent historical tablets for Mardukite work?

In 1977, a mysterious book appeared in the underground occult scene, published by a collective related to the O.T.O.—naming themselves “Schlangekraft”—which was edited with authorship under the single name: “Simon.” That book, of course, being titled: “The Necronomicon.” Chances are good that you know of the book I’m talking about; the infamous “Simon Necronomicon.” Over a million print editions have circulated around the planet—not even including those now illegally copied and shared on the internet.

Behind, back of and beyond all of the controversy which surrounds the book, a Seeker will discover that a large part of its material is drawn from historical Mesopotamian cuneiform tablets; for example: the Enuma Eliš Babylonian Epic of Creation, the Fifty Names of Marduk and the Descent of Ishtar in the Underworld, or Sleep of Ishtar—but all of which is bastardized to fit a stereotypical and expected “Lovecraftian” theme.

The “Simon Necronomicon,” up until the arrival of the Mardukite edition by Joshua Free in 2009, was actually an anomaly in the “New Age” scene: the sole book presenting a specifically Babylonian spiritual paradigm with any practical occult relevance to support a wide interest in “Mesopotamian Neopaganism.” Joshua Free and the Mardukite Chamberlains team thus saw fit to give back the material its rightful due; providing us with the original Babylonian paradigm—called “Mardukite,” as in dedication to the patron Anunnaki founder of Babylon, Marduk.

This new wave of “Mardukite Necronomicon” work by Joshua Free was firmly based on actual cuneiform clay tablet collections, complete with initiate-level commentary available to the public for the first time; replacing the need to independently and meticulously collect dry and often hard to find academic renditions of similar material. The original installment of this work was released on the Summer Solstice 2009 exclusively to the “Mardukite Chamberlains” as “Liber-N: The Necronomicon of Joshua Free”—which is actually not a derivative of “Simon’s” edition and really has nothing directly to do with the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. The official Mardukite comment on “Simon’s” book was published in 2012 as Liber-555, supplementing the 2010 release of Liber-R.

The Tablets of Destiny Revelations: How Long Lost Anunnaki Wisdom Can Change Fate of Humanity (Mardukite Systemology Liber-One, Revised 2nd Edition) Joshua Free (JFI)

Is Mardukite Zuism an Ancient Aliens Cult?

No, we aren’t—We also do not specifically or exclusively subscribe to Zecharia Sitchin’s interpretation of the Anunnaki, either. We do view the historic Anunnaki as physical beings, yes, but beings maintaining an elite quality of Actualized Awareness as “Alpha Spirits” in command of a “genetic vehicle” or physical body, instead of literal “spacemen”—which they just might be too, as everything in the Physical Universe carries “multidimensional” facets, at least from the perspective of (and understanding held by) the Human Condition.

While it is true that Mardukite Zuism is indeed a re-creation, reconstruction or reenactment of the Ancient Babylonian Priesthood of Nabu, we are not worshiping the Anunnaki as divinity, nor in the conventional sense, Marduk directly proper. Relevance of the “Babili” System—the native name for the Babylonian spiritual paradigm—lies in it’s underlying system and it’s logic—or “Systemology”—that we are now applying in modern times. It would be useless and unproductive to merely reiterate and celebrate the ancient tradition verbatim, which purpose is now obsolete.

It could further be said that the way in which we process this material now in the 21st century AD—the stuff coming to us from the 21st century BC—is a practice of “defragmentation”; that we are actually very much systematically undoing the fragmentation once done back in Babylonia, in some kind of esoterically revolutionary ‘Averse Mardukite’ approach, a semantic we are of course avoiding because it’s misleading.

In brief, “Mardukite Zuism” and its Systemology is not a cult; quite the opposite—it is a map by which we reclaim the highest potentials of the Self—the Alpha-Spirit—or, as we say in a rather poetic fashion: a way to “Starwalk to the Source.”

How do you “join” the Mardukites?

Simply put, in the most basic terms: you don’t. You read the books; you do the work; you stick around and if you get it right—as in what I call the ‘Mardukite Key’—then yeah, congratulations, you’re a “Mardukite.” This is not to say that there won’t be more structure within the organization in the future—such as we see progressing with our “Grades” and the development of the “Mardukite Academy,” “International School of Systemology” and “Mardukite Zuism” as an openly practiced modern spiritual paradigm—but we’ve found that, for the most part, a classical “masonic” or “kabbalistic” structure of initiation, such as is widely seen in Western culture, is more often a distraction, a game really, rather than the real deal, which is an association of individuals maintaining “Actualized Awareness.” That being said, we are expecting and preparing for increased organizational involvement throughout the 2020’s decade and beyond!

How many freakin’ books does this Joshua guy put out every year?

This is a more commonly asked question by those individuals that have only recently, within the past couple of years, become aware of the existence of Mardukite Ministries, Mardukite Systemology and the work of Joshua Free as newly republished and globally distributed through the new “Joshua Free Imprint” (formerly ‘Mardukite Truth Seeker Press’ operating underground). Newcomers can be easily overwhelmed by the sheer amount of materials released over the short period of time that this new imprint has been in operations and the number of ISBN assigned in a short time.

What some might be unaware of, is that most of the books released between 2018 and now are actually rewritten, revised and reissued materials that were originally published over the past decade from “Mardukite Truth Seeker Press” (founded in 2008), which was the original underground print-on-demand version of the indie publishing house now represented by the official Joshua Free Imprint. Hence you now see these vastly improved versions as more commercially available “10th anniversary” or “20th anniversary” collector’s editions—many of which now appear in hardcover for the very first time. The Grade-II “Mardukite Core” is composed of a decade of material now reissued back to back, so I do understand why some newcomers might find it overwhelming. Even then, if you look back at the last decade of Mardukite and Systemology work, Joshua Free has always been releasing stuff at a frantic pace, something largely unseen on the ‘New Age’ or ‘esoteric’ scene in general since the end of the 20th century.

Are the Mardukites RHP (Right-Hand Path) or LHP (Left-Hand Path)?

We’re neither. While it is true, we often describe our path—which is the “Pathway to Self-Honesty”—as the “Right Way,” this semantic is often confused with an RHP context; which it is not. These polarized terms of “Left” and “Right” have actually been obsolete for quite a while in the underground—and I expect them to also become so on the more mainstream scene somewhat soon, as there are signs of that here and there already. In brief—“what is termed LHP is really a blend of the diabolized traditions of Enki and Ishtar, but realized very much outside of Self-Honesty, while the RHP is a corrupted expression of an usurpation of the Mardukite Ideal, which in itself predates all this.”* Do your homework and you’ll see that this is very much the case.

Arcanum Annual 2022 Review

What are the sources of all these Arcane Tablets?

I get asked this a lot from folks who would like a more academic presentation of the material that appears in our “Necronomicon: Anunnaki Bible” or “The Complete Anunnaki Bible” (Etc.)—people that obviously are unaware of how things work in the occult underground. But yes!—all of these tablets and their contents may be independently researched from the remaining physical cuneiform clay tablet collections from ancient Mesopotamia, all of which are kept in museums; with the exception, perhaps, of the “Shayaha” (Sajaha) materials, the source of which is still the subject of some controversy.

The more widely accessible Arcane Tablets found within the “Mardukite Catalogue” or text of “The Complete Anunnaki Bible” are based on updated translations of transliterations from the “Kuyunjik” collection and “Surpu” tablet series kept in the British Museum, in addition to the “Maqlu” and other now well-known sources of cuneiform literature. It is all easily researched and readily discoverable if you actually care to do so; but officially, we have already put in the time on these subjects. I might add that: the very fact that the core of our work is based on real archaeology—on very raw physical data—and not some Illuminoid mumbo jumbo, demonstrates both a seriousness and validity of what we’re doing, regardless of your opinion of, for example, our use of the title “Necronomicon.

Is there a link between the Anunnaki paradigm and (insert preferred cultural mythology here)?

Perhaps one of the most commonly proposed questions by those who have studied various mythologies and cultures is: are the Anunnaki related to India, or Japan, or Mesoamerica, &tc. The short answer is: yes—the Babylonian Anunnaki are planetary archetypes, the same as those found throughout each and every culture worldwide, without exception. And while this is easily demonstrated intellectually with small investigations into comparative religion, it often comes as an emotional shock to those that fixedly identify themselves very strongly to a specific localized culture (and its correlated mythology semantics). These are the same individuals that would dismiss ancient Mesopotamian lore today because of the current politics in the Middle-East and its present population.

Just do your homework in Self-Honesty and the facts will become clear.

But, to be a bit more specific concerning the worldwide influence of the Anunnaki, there are a few examples given in the Mardukite literature concerning this if you look. One such is Ningishzidda, which is Enki’s brother, that becomes a driving force behind the inception of ancient Meso-American civilization under the guise of Quetzacoatl. Other details can be found regarding the Tuatha d’Anu in Europe that also carried the Anunnaki Legacy in the guise of “Druidism.” Essentially, one can find connections between anything and anything. But, such connections and cataloging is not the focus of our current work, as stated by Joshua Free in the original Mardukite Systemology Grade-III textbook, Liber-One (The Tablets of Destiny):

“Once an individual’s attention is successfully brought to the wisdom of the Arcane Tablets, suddenly new layers of understanding begin to unfold concerning Life, the Physical Universe—and experience of it as Reality. With new eyes, the Seeker begins to find fragments of confirmation in virtually every piece of ancient esoterica. This information is not restricted only to the cuneiform tablets unearthed in Mesopotamia—but it is our oldest, complete and definitive literary example, from which sprung the “Secret Doctrines” maintained by many other spiritual traditions and cultures throughout time and space.”

“Of course, if we choose to, we will undoubtedly find variations of this wisdom in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Dhammapada, the Vedas, and so on… With humanity now having wide access to various source materials, it is not the focus or intent of our current discourse—or the instructional Systemology Grade that it represents—to chase down all later derived fragmented examples of the “Tablets of Destiny” in history. Such is an intellectual occupation that someone else will undoubtedly take up, but no attempts will be made at this time by the current author to systematically redefine and categorize all of the diverse paradigms in existence.”

Crystal Clear (Revised Second Edition) by Joshua Free

How is Mardukite Zuism & Systemology any different from other esoteric occult, initiatory or religious organizations?

This is certainly a legitimate and relevant question. The Mardukite material, in itself, reveals what I like to call the ‘Mardukite Key’—as I mentioned above—and it is this very Key that makes our work and organization stand apart from anything that has publicly come before. This whole matter is somewhat complex—a bit hard to define fully in only a few words. Simply put, the ‘Mardukite Key’ attained from Grade-II work is what we call Systemology, which is explored directly in the Grade-III work, including “The Tablets of Destiny” and “Crystal Clear.

In effect, what we have found with the recension and study of the most ancient texts available is how, primarily through the very use of the written word, the Human Condition got programmed outside of a Self-Honest experience of reality.

What do we mean by Self-Honesty? The term is clearly defined in the “Mardukite Zuism & NexGen Systemology Dictionary”—

“the alpha1 state of being and knowing; clear and present total Awareness2 of-and-as Self, in its most basic and true proactive expression of itself as Spirit or I-AM—free of artificial attachments, perceptive filters and other emotionally-reactive or mentally-conditioned programming imposed on the Human Condition by the systematized physical world.”

1 alpha : the first, primary, basic, superior or beginning of some form; in NexGen systemology, it also refers to the state of existence that operates on archetypes, will and intention “exterior” to the low-level condensation and solidarity of energy and matter as the ‘physical universe’.

2 awareness : the highest sense of-and-as Self in knowing and being as I-AM (the Alpha-Spirit); the extent of beingness directed as a POV experienced by Self as knowingness.

Whether or not this—what might be called the “Babylon Incident”—is literally the first time such programming was impressed on humanity, is actually irrelevant. It is historically appropriate for our purposes to chart the progression of implanted fragmentation programs, described in our Systemology, as they were visibly installed and are still running today, very much present in the Human Condition and its societies.

The exact nature, structure and control of these “systems” is often debated, understandably so, even in ancient times, when several members of the younger Anunnaki pantheon attempted the same tactics as Marduk. This often occurred simultaneously and using the same technology, known from the Arcane Tablets as the “Divine ME,” or else the “Tablets of Destiny.” Aside from Marduk’s Babylon, we find similar patterns among the Anunnaki with the cases of Ishtar and Ninurta.

So, ‘why the emphasis on Marduk then’—you may as well ask?

The simplest and most direct answer: because he is the only one among the Anunnaki that seemed to care at all about humanity; seeing the potential of the species as more than mere cattle or pets in material service to the gods—and their plans. As mentioned within the cycle of Mardukite literature, or the Mardukite Core, his own plan—to return all religious devotion of Humanity to the Infinite Source, or else activating complete personal Alpha Awareness of the individual through all Spheres of Existence—failed.

And this is precisely what we, the modern Mardukite movement, have set up to correct right now, using the applied spiritual technology that we call “Systemology”—the very same technology used by the Anunnaki to engineer the realities of this Physical Universe. Furthermore, as I mentioned in my foreword to the French translation of “Mardukite Liber-G”—the ancient Mardukite Babylonian paradigm (and specifically its Systemology) from the 21st century BC reveals nothing short of a more complete, workable, effective and valid proto-kabbalah, predating the better known and widely used Semitic version by hundreds, if not thousands, of years.

Full realization of the ‘Mardukite Key’ is not to be taken lightly, as it positively cancels centuries, even millennia of fragmented exegesis. This simple fact, dear Seekers and friends, is a major game-changer for humanity—at the very least, as far as esoteric literature and the occult underground is concerned; something that has yet to be fully realized for essentially political reasons. And as I said in my contribution to Mardukite Liber-51 many years ago: this time, it’s different, and we are cheerfully inviting you to join us and take part of this grand adventure, this real hope for the future, to reclaim your True Self, and evolve, and rise, as Homo Novus, or else go extinct alongside Homo-Sapiens and it’s pre-programmed obsolescence.

BELTANE 2019 – Mardukite Global Babylonian Stargate Meditation Ritual Working (Mesopotamian Neopaganism)

TEN YEARS AGO the newly formed band of “Mardukite Chamberlains” (also known as the “Mardukite Research Organization”)—members of the underground “spiritual,” “occult” and “esoteric archaeology” community—received instructions during meditation for a synchronized global meditation working that would unleash a “New Age” of global consciousness on planet Earth toward the reconstruction of the “Anunnaki paradigm” in everyday life and the establishment of a “New Babylon” order in dedication to the “New Thought” principles of human potential and spiritual evolution gleaned from the most ancient tablets on the planet…and that was back in 2009…

[Books displayed throughout this blogpost are current editions featuring specific materials from the “Mardukite Core” applicable to the upcoming April 30 2019 “Mardukite Global Stargate Meditation Ritual Working.” While each title is formatted differently, suggested selections appear in each of these volumes equally.]

The modern “Mardukite” tradition was publicly launched on Summer Solstice 2008—it would take nearly another year before an active group of participants of this brand of “New Thought” and “Mesopotamian Neopaganism” could be formally established, taking place near the Spring 2009 Akiti-Akitu period. And the formal inception of the “Mardukite Chamberlains” and its tradition was to coincide with a synchronized global meditation ritual working in dedication to the post-Sumerian Babylonian Anunnaki paradigm—this also became the first official established esoteric organization overtly dedicated to MARDUK—the Anunnaki patron god of Babylon and the first systemology impressed on the human condition and civilization since its former upgrade by the Anunnaki scientist ENKI.

You can read about the original “Beltane 2009 Global Stargate Ritual Meditation” from these two blogposts:—

When the Mardukites conducted the first Beltane Gate ritual a decade ago, they did not possess the same literary archives maintained today—and by that we mean specifically the “Mardukite Core” of research and experimental development that combined the academic and esoteric aspects of the tradition into a functional modern-day paradigm. This “new” wide-angle paradigm—although inspired by the Ancient Mystery School of Babylon—also includes many elements found in the most ancient and coveted forgotten reserves of the “New Thought” movement, “Druidism” and “Rosicrucianism”—and many volumes have been dedicated to the underground connection between these as well, off-shoots of the main lifeline that have sprung up throughout the course of time and expanding all around the globe…All-as-One.

With an original lack of specific widespread criteria, many chose to observe the “2009 Beltane Gate” individually by practicing intention-based “rites,” “meditations” or “ceremonial expressions” of their own design—dancers danced, artists created, ceremonialists…ceremonied(?)… but the most important part of it all…the world was dedicated and focused together in a combined effort to bring a higher level of realization to global consciousness… and it was quite successful. At the Mardukite Offices in 2009, the original group of esoteric practitioners still heavily relied on the Simon “Necronomicon” structure for their practices—being the primary “occult” contribution of the Babylonian spiritual-gate system prior to the more complete execution developed over the past decade by the Mardukite Research Organization and Council of Nabu-Tutu, a select band of long-term and experienced alumni from within this brand of work. To deliver power and control of the system back to MARDUK, the Seal of Marduk was placed within Gate of Nergal—an esoteric facet that many did not catch or grasp, thinking that the seal and gate were of the same degree…they were not…and this was intentional. Those using the “Simon” motif for their 2019 observations should correctly place the Seal of Marduk within the Gate of Marduk for this operation—and that is, of course, assuming you are using that methodology for your work. Most modern Mardukites have come to better relay their work specifically from the “Mardukite Core” of materials developed independently of other modern revival works and fanciful notions.

For those wishing to observe the “Mardukite Beltane 2019 Global Ritual Meditation Working” in alignment with the tradition reinforced specifically by the modern “Mardukite” movement over the past decade—all of the formal ritual instruction or meditation suggestions for this event are found in the newly revised, refined, updated and most beautifully enhanced pocket hardcover tome:—

Kings, Queens & Sister-Wives: Sex and Mating Habits of Anunnaki Gods | Divine Right & Royal Dynasties

anunnakichildBannr

Absent from the early editions of the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible, the Tablet-U Series (“Book of the Underworld“) was not available until 2011 in Liber-C, originally distributed as Beyond the Ishtar Gate, appearing also in Necronomicon Spellbook III released first to the Mardukite Chamberlains (Mardukite Research Organization). Liber-C is also published in the Year-3 Mardukite Anthology Necronomicon Grimoire (formerly Necronomicon Workbook); the Tablet-U Series appears in the final edition of the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible (the core volume of research).

Dynamics of this series — mainly sexual practices and mating customs of the Anunnaki hierarchy — were catalogued, instructed to and adopted by demigods and Dragon Courts of Kings and Queens. These dynamics are concisely explained by the late Zecharia Sitchin in End of Days.

beyondishtarfrontimg “The key to unlocking the mystery of the gods’ succession (and marriage) — realizing that these rules also applied to the people chosen by them [Enlil] to serve as their proxies to Mankind. In the biblical tale of the Patriarch Abraham explaining his sister-wife in Genesis: ‘Indeed, she is my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother, and she became my wife.’ Not only was marrying a half-sister from a different mother permitted, but a son by her — in this case Isaac — became the Legal Heir and dynastic successor, rather than the Firstborn Ishmael, son of the handmaiden Hagar.

“Though those succession rules appear complex, they were based on ‘Bloodlines‘ — what we now recognize as sophisticated DNA genealogies that also distinguished between general DNA inherited from the parents as well as the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) that is inherited by females only from their mother. Dynastic lines continue through the male line; the Firstborn son is next in succession; a half-sister could be taken as wife if she had a different mother; and if a son by such a half-sister is later born, that son — though not the Firstborn — becomes the Legal Heir and the dynastic successor.

“The rivalry between the two half-brothers Ea/Enki (Firstborn of Anu, but not be his official spouse, Antu) and Enlil in matters of the throne was complicated by personal rivalry in matters of the heart. They both coveted their half-sister Ninmah, whose mother was yet another concubine of Anu. She was Ea/Enki‘s true love, but he was not permitted to marry her. Enlil had a son by her — Ninurta. Though born without wedlock, the succession rules made Ninurta uncontested heir of Enlil, being both a Firstborn son and one born by a royal half-sister…”

1001015_318340804969022_2026839541_n The “Descent cycle” of Inanna-Ishtar shows her connection to the “Underworld”, and thereby the “Other”, but it does so for the explicit reasons described in the Tablet-C “Crossings” series, involving her relationship with the Queen of the Underworld, Ereshkigal, her own sister, as well as Ereshkigal‘s surface world Anunnaki consort, Nergal.

NecroBible6ththumb Nergal [ne-uru-gal] is the “lord of the great dwelling” and his wife, Ereshkigal [eres-ki-gal] isa perfect counterpart, being the ‘lady of the great earth’. The cult-center for their tradition worship was the city of Cuth (or Kutha), making the “Man-of-Cuth” literally “Kutu-lu”, CTHULHU, a name which makes frequent appearances in more Necronomical flavored lore related to the Underworld.

LIBER-C, Tablet-U, “The Courtship of Ishtar and Dumuzi”

The brother spoke to his younger sister.
The Sun God, SHAMMASH (UTU), spoke to INANNA-ISHTAR, saying:
“Lady, the flax in its fullness is lovely.
Ishtar, the grain is glistening in the furrow.
I will work the ground for you it for you.
I will bring the grain to you.
But a piece of linen-cloth, big or small, is always needed.
Ishtar, I will bring it to you.”

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“Brother, after you’ve brought me the flax, Who will comb it for me?”

SHAMMASH (UTU) replied:
“Sister, I will bring it to you combed.”

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“Utu, after you’ve brought it to me combed, Who will spin it for me?”

And SHAMMASH (UTU) responded:
“Inanna-Ishtar, I will bring it to you spun?”

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“Brother, after you’ve brought the flax to be spun, Who will braid it for me?”
And SHAMMASH (UTU) responded:
“Sister, I will bring it to you braided.”

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“Utu, after you’ve brought it to me braided,
Who will weave it for me?”

And SHAMMASH (UTU) replied:
“Sister, I will bring it to you woven.”

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“Utu, after you’ve brought it to me woven,
Who will bleach it for me?”

And SHAMMASH (UTU) responds:
“Inanna-Ishtar, I will bring it to you bleached.”

Angered now, INANNA-ISHTAR demanded:
“Brother, after you’ve brought my bridal sheet to me,
Who will go to bed with me!?
Who, Utu, who will sleep with me!?”

SHAMMASH (UTU) calmly replied:
“Sister, your bridegroom will go to bed with you.
He who was born from a fertile womb,
He who was conceived on the scared marriage throne,
Dumuzi, the shepherd! He will go to bed with you.”

INANNA-ISHTAR spoke:
“No, brother!
I want the farmer!
He is the man of my heart!
He gathers the grain into great heaps.
He brings the grain regularly into my storehouses.”

SHAMMASH (UTU) said:
“Sister, you should marry the shepherd.
Why are you unwilling?
His cream is good; his milk is good.
Whatever he touches shines brightly.
Inanna-Ishtar, marry Dumuzi.
You who adorn yourself with the agate necklace of fertility alone,
Why are you unwilling?
Dumuzi will share his rich cream with you.
You who are meant to be the kings protector,
Why are you unwilling?”

Still angry, INANNA-ISHTAR the spoke:
“The shepherd?!
I will not marry the shepherd!
His clothes are course; his wool is rough.
I will marry the farmer.
The farmer grows flax for my clothes,
The farmer grows barley for my table.”

Then DUMUZI arrived and said:
“Why do you speak about the farmer?
Why do you speak about him?
If he gives you black flour’
I will give you black wool.
If he gives you white flour,
I will give you white wool.
If he gives you beer,
I will give you sweet milk.
If he gives you bread,
I will give you honey cheese.
I will give the farmer my leftover cream.
I will give the farmer my leftover milk.
Why do you speak about the farmer?
What does he have more than I do?”

Laughing, INANNA-ISHTAR replied:
“Shepherd-boy, without my mother, Ningal, you’d be driven away;
Without my grandmother, Ningikugga, you’d be driven into the Abyss,
Without my father, Nanna, you’d have no roof,
Without my brother Utu-Shammash. . .”

DUMUZI interrupted:
“Inanna, do not start a quarrel with me.
My father, Enki, is as good as your father, Nanna.
My mother, Sirtur, is as good as your mother, Ningal.
My sister, Geshtinanna, is as good as yours, Ereshkigal…
So, Queen of the palace,
let us talk it over, shall we?”

The words they had spoken between them were words of passion and desire.
From the starting of the heated quarrel came the lovers desire for each other.
DUMUZI, The Shepherd, went to the royal house with cream.
He went to the royal house with milk.
Before the door, he called out:
“Open the house, My Lady, open the house!”

INANNA-ISHTAR ran to the arms of NINGAL, her mother.

NINGAL counseled her daughter, saying:
“My child, this young man will be your father.
My daughter, this young man will be your mother.
He will treat you like a father.
He will care for you like a mother. “

Still DUMUZI called:
“Open the house, My Lady, open the house!”

INANNA-ISHTAR, at her mothers command,
Bathed and anointed herself with scented oil.
She covered her body with the royal white robe.
She readied her dowry.
She arranged her precious lapis lazuli beads around her neck.
She took her seal in her hand.

DUMUZI waited expectantly.
INANNA-ISHTAR opened the door for him.
Inside the house she shined before him.
Like the light of the moon.
DUMUZI looked at her joyously.
He pressed his neck close against hers.
He kissed her.

INANNA-ISHTAR then said:
“What I tell you
Let the singer weave into song.
What I tell you,
Let it flow from ear to mouth,
Let it pass from old to young:
My vulva, the horn,
Is The Boat of Heaven,
Is full of eagerness like the new moon.
Who will plow my vulva?
Who will plow my high field?
Who will plow my wet ground?
I am a young beautiful woman;
Who will plow my vulva!?
Who will station the ox there!?
Who will plow my vulva!?”

DUMUZI smiled and said:
“Great Lady, the king will plow your vulva!
I, Dumuzi the King, will plow your vulva.”

INANNA-ISHTAR screamed:
“Then plow my vulva, man of my heart!
Plow my vulva!
Do it now!”

When after the king’s lap stood the rising cedar.
Plants grew high by their side.
Grains grew high by their side.
Gardens flourished luxuriantly.

INANNA-ISHTAR sang in delight:
“He has sprouted;
He is fertile growth planted by the water.
He is the one my womb loves best.
My well-stocked garden in the plains,
My barley growing high in its furrow,
My apple tree which bears fruit up to its crown,
He is fertile growth planted by the water.
My honey-man, my honey-man sweetens me always.
My lord, the honey-man of the gods,
He is the one my womb loves best.
His hand is honey, his foot is honey,
He sweetens me always.
My eager man who caresses my navel,
My man who caresses my soft thighs,
He is the one my womb loves best.
O, how I love him!
He is my fertile growth planted by the water.”

And DUMUZI sang:
“O Great Lady, your breast is your field.
Inanna-Ishtar, your breast is your field.
Your broad field pours out the plants.
Your broad field pours out grain.
Water flows from on high for your servant.
Bread flows from on high for your servant.
Pour it out for me, Inanna-Ishtar.
I will drink all you offer.”

INANNA-ISHTAR said passionately:
“Make your milk sweet and thick for me, my bridegroom.
My shepherd, I will drink your fresh milk.
My wild bull, Dumuzi, make your milk sweet and thick.
I will drink your fresh milk.
Let the milk of the goat flow in my sheepfold.
Fill my holy churn with honey cheese.
Lord Dumuzi, I will drink your fresh milk.
My husband, I will guard my sheepfold for you.
I will watch over your house of life, the storehouse,
The shining quivering place which delights;
The house which decides the fates of the land,
The house which gives the breath of life to the people.
I, the queen of the palace, will watch over your house.”

DUMUZI spoke:
“My sister, I would go with you to my garden.
Inanna, I would go with you to my garden.
I would go with you to my orchard.
I would go with you to my apple tree.
There I would plant the sweet, honey-covered seed.”

INANNA sang:
“He brought me into his garden.
My brother, Dumuzi, brought me into his garden.
I strolled with him among the standing trees,
I stood with him among the fallen trees,
By the apple tree I knelt as is proper.
Before my brother coming in song,
Who rose to me out of poplar leaves,
Who came to me in the midday heat,
before my lord, Dumuzi,
I poured out plants from my womb.
I placed plants before him,
I poured out plants before him.
I placed grain before him,
I poured out grain before him,
I poured out grain before my womb.”

She sang louder:
“Last night as I, the Queen, was shining bright,
Last night as I, the Queen of Heaven, was shining bright,
As I was shining bright and dancing,
Singing praises at the coming of the night;
He met me! He met me!
My lord Dumuzi met me!
He pushed his hand to my hand.
He pressed his neck close against mine.
My high priest is ready for the holy loins.
My lord Dumuzi is ready for the holy loins.
The plants and herbs in his field are ripe.
O Dumuzi! You fullness is my delight!”

She called for it, she called for it, she called for the bed!
She called for the bed that rejoices the heart.
She called for the bed that sweetens the loins.
She called for the bed of kingship.
She called for the bed of queenship.

INANNA-ISHTAR called for the bed:
“Let the bed that rejoices the heart be prepared!
Let the bed that sweetens the lions be prepared!
Let the bed of kingship be prepared!
Let the bed of queenship be prepared!
Let the royal bed be prepared!”

She spread the bridal sheet across the bed.
She called to the king:
“The bed is ready!”
She called to her bridegroom:
“The bed is waiting!”
He put his hand in her hand.
He put his hand to her heart.
Sweet is the sleep of the hand-to-hand.
Sweeter still is the sleep of heart-to-heart.

INANNA-ISHTAR said:
“I bathed for the wild bull,
I bathed for the shepherd Dumuzi,
I perfumed my sides with ointment,
I coated my mouth with sweet-smelling amber,
I painted my eyes with coal.
He shaped my loins with his fair hands.
The Shepherd, Dumuzi filled my lap with cream and milk,
He stroked my pubic hair,
He watered my womb.
He laid his hands on my holy vulva,
He smoothed my black boat with cream,
He quickened my narrow boat with milk,
He creased me on the bed.
Now I will caress my high priest on the bed,
I will caress the faithful shepherd Dumuzi,
I will caress his loins, the shepherdship of the land,
I will decree a sweet fate for him.”

Babylonian Astrology & Age of Aquarius: How the Sumerians Measured the Heavens

10514761_482280898571526_123244564401630173_n2

“The ancient Sumerians understood the connection between cycles, time and mathematics. In addition to the pragmatic use of the wheel or circle, they also developed the initial calculations of the circle to be 360 degrees. Their use of base-60 ‘sexagesimal’ math in the systematic measurement of time has carried with humanity to this day…”

[This mardukite.com blog post is officially excerpted from Liber 51/52, available in the anthology Mesopotamian Religion by Joshua Free. It is also available as the stand-alone title: Sumerian Religion II, and in the Mardukite Year-2 Anthology: Gates of the Necronomicon by Joshua Free.]

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop The annual year was originally only divided into three seasons: beginning, middle and end. A year in Babylonia was separated into a cycle of 12 periods of 30 degrees or days. These periods, equated to the ‘moon’, were called ‘moonths’ or more appropriately ‘months’. Of course, the sky-wise priests were aware of the actual appearance of 13 lunar cycles in a year, so an additional shortened month was acknowledged to make the cycle fit. In most cases, a ‘new moon’ meant a ‘new month’ and so the days counted in a month are the days counted in the progression of a moon – though naturally the disparities between lunar and solar time had to be accounted for, and with time the ‘Chaldeans’ had perfected it.

cuneisdgsdg The annual cycle was marked distinctly by two primary religious festivals – the spring festival of Akitu and the winter festival of Zagmuk. Both appear to be represented or distinguished by the symbol of ‘divine marriage’, later meaning the relationship between the ruling king and his lands.

Originally, however, the more popular fertility interpretation of these festivals, particularly in the spring, were based on land renewal and with the development and spread of these tradition, Akitu became known as Ostara – the pagan Easter – in dedication to Ishtar (Inanna). Not too surprisingly, the pre-Christian account incorporated into the symbolism of the later Judeo-based traditions also includes the proverbial theme of resurrection – in our case: the infamous story of Ishtar’s ‘descent‘ into the ‘Underworld’, where she is perceived of as ‘dead’ for three days.

vlcsnap-2011-08-13-21h32m43s221 Given the way modern calendars are oriented, the start of each ancient month would be considered near the ‘middle’ of current months – much like the seasonal observations. Although the festivals in ancient times were oriented to the naturally occurring solstices and equinoxes, it was often customary to observe them ceremonially during the closest full moon. All of this gave way to a generally ‘fluid’ incorporation of time into society that is varied in its interpretations among modern scholars.

The ancients made use of ‘water-clocks’ at night and ‘sun-clocks’ during the day. But more important to the survival of an agricultural society then gauging the minutes of a day for a ‘time-punch’ was the tracking of the annual cycle for planting and harvesting. Quite different than what the remainder of the Western World has familiarity with, the seasonal cycles in the deserts of Babylonia are unique. We have a recognizable summer in June, July and August where there is not rain and nothing grows – as we might expect – but then the region is plunged right into its rainy season in September, and farmers must be ready to plant their barley by October with a harvest necessary before the summer sun returns.

Gates3rdEdfrontcropMINI A different system of observation was used to calculate and measure ‘divine time’ in relation to ‘earth time’. This gave rise to what contemporaries call an ‘age’ – such as the current ‘age’ of Pisces and the forthcoming ‘age’ of Aquarius. Apart from the garbled nonsense of today’s horoscopes, the observation of zodiacal ages and alignments during the year are very real events. For whatever credibility the modern mind might wish to give the ancient astrologie omen tablets, the ability to perfectly chart time over long periods by using verifiable astronomical events, that we can even rely on today as investigators into this ancient culture, is quite impressive by any standards.

We can establish the chronological procession of the ages, but not necessarily a definition of when they have absolute turning points. They are measured in 2,160 year periods (72 x 30), connected to their ‘domain’ of visibility in the ‘Celestial Sphere’. The progression is visible in the stars but the clear boundary line that defines each is in many ways obscure. For example, when specifically does the current age enter ‘Aquarius’? Counting backward, the Mardukite school of thought might have suggestive input to apply.

259202494_2439cd36a1_o2 Following earlier thwarted attempts to solidify global rulership, the real Babylonian Reformation by the Anunnaki god MARDUK, with the aid of Nabu, occurred as a result of the ‘Age of Aries’ having arrived and ‘promised power’ not being ‘passed’ to him. This would have to be circa 2150 B.C., when the movement became notably public.

How long prior to this, pointing to the turn of the ‘Age of Aries’, would they have waited? If it were only ten years, then the Piscean Age really would have been marked by the birth of Jesus Christ – exactly 2,160 years later – notoriously represented by the fishes. Other ‘scholarly’ dates for the start of the Age of Aries include 2200, 2150, 2000 and 1875 B.C. Based on these figures, this ‘era’ of reportedly ‘new consciousness’ could be in effect now, later in this century, in the year 2150 or even closer to 2600…

Time, as we have found no different today then yesterday, is indeed entirely relative!

Mesopotamian Mythology The Easy Way — Sumerian Anunnaki (Study Guide) Part 5

MASTERING MESOPOTAMIAN MYTHOLOGY
A Brief Anunnaki A-to-Z Directory (Study Guide) – PART FIVE
edited by Joshua Free for Liber-52

[See necrogate.com for PART FOUR]

NINKI {35} [“Lady of the Earth”] — The official spouse (consort) of ENKI, also known as DAMKINA [“Lady Who Came to Earth”]. NINKI is the daughter of ALALU (the ‘heavenly’ king prior to ANU) and the the mother of MARDUK.

NINLIL {45} “Lady of Air-Space” — The official spouse (consort) of ENLIL, also known with the epithet SUD (“nurse”). The background to the relation- ship between ENLIL and NINLIL is not commonly found in the typical cuneiform tablet cycles. Naturally, the lore is not Mardukite or Babylonian in origin and does not appear in the tablet catalogue or commentary of (modern) Mardukite Core anthologies. The cycle is sometimes referred to as “Enlil’s Banishment to the Underworld.”

NINSHUBUR [“Lady of the East”] — The personal assistant (Mercury), second-in-command to the goddess INANNA (ISHTAR). She does not take a consort and there is an alluded love-relationship between her and INANNA (ISHTAR).

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop NINURTA {4/(50)} “Lord of the South Wind” — The official heir-son of ENLIL, born of ENLIL and NINMAH, espoused to BAU. NINURTA represents the current of Saturn in the Mardukite paradigm, representative both of “hidden power” and “hidden secrets” (an idiom for the dark power and secrets behind the origins and legacy of Babylon). In the Enlilite Sumerian worldview, NINURTA (called NINIB in Babylonan) is the Enlil-in-waiting, a position usurped by MARDUK proper for the Age of Aries. As Enlilship is typically symbolized by ‘dragonslaying‘ — the same motif present in the elevation of MARDUK in Babylon rivaling the dragon-queen TIAMAT can be seen in the older Sumerian cycles where the prowess of NINURTA is shown in his ability to fight the mighty dragon KUR. His colors are black and violet and his essence is corresponded to the metal lead.

NISABA — The Sumerian agricultural goddess of writing and scribes; replaced by the god NABU in the Mardukite Babylonian Anunnaki tradition.

SAMAS / SHAMMASH {20} — The official solar deity of the Enlilite Sumerian Anunnaki pantheon, brother to INANNA (ISHTAR), born of NANNA and NINGAL. The sun represents the brilliance and radiant energy of life on earth; the light that allows organic life to grow and even the manner of which ‘time’ [and ‘lifespan’] is divided. Expansive powerful energy of the solar current is invoked in magical ceremonies for general success and well-being. The fiery nature of the ‘star’ is called upon to ‘incinerate iniquities’ and reveal the nature of darkness and lies, meaning: the revelation of truth. Mistaken (by modern scholars) as monotheistic ‘sun worship’, solar veneration is really the celebration of life. As an archetypal representative of the ‘starry’ ‘heavens’, the sun signifies the physical presence and watchful eye of the ‘All-God’, invoked in matters of law to bring righteous judgment to critical worldly situations. SAMAS is sacred to Sunday, the colors gold and yellow and in the essence of gold.

magansmall SARPANIT {(5)/(45)} — The part-earthling (seventh generation of ADAPA, by ENKI) chosen royal spouse (consort) of MARDUK; princess-queen patron goddess (ISHTAR) of Babylon and mother to NABU. In alternative versions of the lore, her name ERU (or ERUA) designates her as the ‘mother-goddess’ of the ‘Children of MARDUK’ (later associated with the light-folk or elves of Europe).

TIAMAT [“Life-Giving Mother”] — The ‘primeval dragon’ in Babylonian archaic epics, often equated with the Sumerian KUR. Later esoteric traditions and texts associate ‘her’ with Yaldabaoth (Ialdabaoth) in Gnostic Hermeticism, or Khornozon (Choronzon) in Enochian Hermeticism. She is equated with the ‘waters’ or the ‘Deep’ in post-Sumerian Semitic scripture (Hebrew: tehom) – the all-encompassing “Sea” that is parted to reveal the first ‘division’ (fragmentation) of “Life” in the Universe. She is paired anthropomorphically with ABZU (the Abyss) as the prehistoric ‘ancestors’ of the Anunnaki race. Her primary literary presence as TIAMAT (or T(I)AMTU) is in the Enuma Elis (Babylonian) ‘Epic of Creation’. In later times, the name is used for the wife of ADAMU (Adam), being the equivalent to the Semitic “Eve” character.

ERESHKIGAL – [“Mistress of the Great Below”] The Queen of the Great Lands in the Sumerian tradition, sister of INANNA-ISHTAR, granddaughter of ENLIL and spouse to NERGAL.

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop GANZIR — The gatekeeper to the underworld ‘Kingdom of Shadows.’ The ‘Gate of Ganzir’ is often confused with the ‘Gate to the Abyss’ or the ‘Gate to the Outside’, but instead it is a portal into the Anunnaki-controlled Underworld, the ‘Shadowlands’ or twilight world within the domain of ERESHKIGAL, who rules this ‘land of the dead’. Quoting a modern grimoire of Babylonian occultism, the “necromantic art, by which is it desirous to speak with the phantom of someone dead, and perhaps dwelling in the ABSU [Abyss], and thereby a servant of ERESHKIGAL… it is no less than the opening of the Gate of Ganzir.”

GIBIL [“He Who Has Fire”] — The companion of the flame, a descendent of ENKI who uses fire to conduct alchemy and other feats of “fire power.”

GIRRA — The “servant”, “power” or “fire” of the ‘great god’; the Sumerian fire-god or essence or force of a fire-god named GIBIL.

INANNA {15} [“Lady of Heaven”] — The Sumerian goddess of “passion”, both ‘love’ and ‘war’, and patron of URUK, begot by NANNA and NINGAL; originally betrothed to MARDUK, she then changes her consort choice to DUMUZI. Her prowess and determination secured her a place in all ancient pantheons; being the “Goddess of One-Thousand Names,” titled ISHTAR in Babylon. INANNA (ISHTAR) is the spirit of Venus, whose day is Friday and with an essence found in copper. Her colors are green and white, significant to her domain of fertility and growth. She offers her magicians the skills in love and visions of beauty.

NECRONOMICON - THE ANUNNAKI BIBLE (Sixth Edition)

NECRONOMICON – THE ANUNNAKI BIBLE (Sixth Edition)

MARDUK {10/(50)} [“Son of God”] The supreme champion of the IGIGI during pre-Sumerian times of the Anunnaki; heir-son of ENKI, he becomes the patron of Babylon and the ‘Mardukite‘ tradition reigning for the Age of Aries in Mesopotamia. All tablet cycles making reference to MARDUK are purely Babylonian or from a direct later source – as he does not appear in any significant pre-Babylonian cuneiform tablet cycles yet unearthed. When mentioned briefly as the son of ENKI, working in Eridu, he is named ASARLUHI, becoming the patron Anunnaki “deity” of magic or ‘Master of Magicians’ after having inherited the craft from his father. The blatant industrious and expansive power represented by MARDUK in his ascent up the pantheon (as observed in Babylon) is typified by the planet Jupiter (ENLIL, by Sumerian standards). His color is purple.

NABU {12} [“Prophet”] — The official post-Sumerian secretary of the Anunnaki, part-divine earth born heir-son of MARDUK and messenger-herald and spokesperson of the ‘Mardukite’ tradition, the national cult of Babylon devised by NABU who assisted his father in the redevelopment of the Anunnaki paradigm (as seen in the ‘Mardukite‘ religion of Babylon replacing the previously observed ‘Enlilite’ world order of the Sumerians). Creating the concept of ‘history’ and ‘propaganda’, NABU gives the ‘stylus’ to humanity (and launches a group of scribe-priests (specially taught writing and rhetoric) to catalog the natures, identities, history and decrees (decisions) of the Anunnaki Assembly (gods) and their relationship with each other and the human (“mortal”) world, thereby creating not only the first public ‘religion’, but the first ‘mythology’ (a religion rooted in literary and oral legacies of human relationships and encounters with the divine) and the systems that were able to later result (most of which are still functioning as part of ‘normal’ everyday life in contemporary society). NABU is the archetypal ‘High Priest’ (ENSAG) of the first religion (dedicated to MARDUK) and practiced by priests who preserve the craft of ENKI in Eridu with science and ‘magic’ of the gods to power and sustain the prosperous longevity of Babylon.

…to be continued.

Marduk, Anunnaki god of Babylon, Son of Enki, Father of Nabu in Mardukite Tradition

mesopotamianmagicheadline

MARDUK — “The blatant industrious and expansive power of Jupiter has been placed at the height of most ‘Sky God’ Olympian pantheons as Zeus or a similar figure. The name (Jupiter) comes from the Romans: Dys Pater, meaning Father-God. This energetic current commands outright worldly success as well as the magic of spirits: command of the hierarchies…

BabylonianMagickCSpbCVRcrop This portion of the mardukite.com blog post is extracted from the “Book of Marduk by Nabu” (Liber W) also available in the recent commemorative “Babylonian Magick” anthology by Joshua Free.

NABU SPEAKS: “The Elder Gods originally attributed this position to Enlil in Sumer. I personally heralded my father, Marduk, into Enlilship of the “younger pantheon” in Babylon. Our tradition there, and in Egypt, was wholly based on him being the centralized figure. You may invoke my father for his strength and power, as well as a petitioner to the Elder Gods. He is exalted as the Master of Magicians, carrying the mysteries of my grandfather, Enki, to Babylon, and bestowing the traditions upon me to relay.” (Liber W)

bookofmardukthumb “The original designation of Jupiter is 50, the number attributed first to Enlil and later to Marduk by the Babylonians, who first was given the number 10. The color of the current is purple, but also airy and fiery colors (yellow, orange, black). This energy is preferred by many leaders and law enforcing folk, lending to those who are pure to receive it, the power to command the material world.” (Liber W)

“Marduk was proclaimed King of the Gods, replacing Enlil, and the other gods were required to pledge allegiance to him and to come to reside in Babylon where their activities could be easily supervised. This usurpation of Enlilship was accompanied by an extensive Babylonian effort to forge the ancient texts. The most important texts were rewritten and altered so as to make Marduk appear as the Lord of the Heavens, the Creator…”
Zecharia Sitchin, The Twelfth Planet (1976)

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop The name Marduk is actually a modernization taken from the Semitic “meri-dug” [Merodach]. The oldest version of a similar spelling AMAR.UTU [a.mar-utu.ki = “light of the sun on earth”] often translated by contemporaries as “solar calf” or “son of the sun” give some background to Marduk’s esteem. (Liber 50)

[The remainder of this mardukite.com blog post is extracted from a New Babylon Rising article derived from Liber 50 – now available in the new edition of Mesopotamian Religion by Joshua Free.]

zar
Being the foremost son of Enki, he gained power quickly. The Semitic name “Maerdechai” that came from the Chaldeo-Babylonian [silik-mul.u-khi] name meaning “Marduk is God.” The more common MAR.DUG means “son
of the pure mound,” and is thought to be connected to the pyramids in not only Mesopotamia, but in Egypt, where he raised himself as the leader of a third party (interpretation) of gods – the Egyptian Pantheon – as “Amon-Ra,” [and possibly also Horus] again identifying himself with the “solar” current.

cuneisdgsdg Marduk’s decision to raise himself to a monotheistic-like “God” status created new political issues for the Anunnaki on Earth – creating a reason for there to be tensions between the two lineages (of Enki and Enlil) for supremacy on earth (and the right to install their own lineages and chosen humans as kings in their stead).

THE RACE OF MARDUK…

Naturally, the other Anunnaki were less than appreciative of Marduk’s desire to rule over them, although the Age of Aries, his sign, did come and go and he was not left to his own in Babylon (or in Egypt). This seems to have been a disciplinarian act by the other gods.

babel98769878 Assuming the most common interpretation, Marduk was to lose rights of kingship “in heaven” for the taking of a “human” wife instead of his betrothed half-sister Inanna Ishtar. His argument was that Sarpanit (his consort) was a descendent of Adapa [see the Necronomicon Anunnaki
Bible
], and thus of Anunnaki bloodline; that Ishtar was no more interested in the union than he was, and it had not affected her rise to power; and finally, if not “in heaven,” why not “on earth”? The resulting catastrophes in the Middle East are evidence enough that this betrothal did not occur peacefully.

A MARDUKITE LEGACY BORN

In Assyrian accounts, Marduk, as the great “father-god” Assur or Ashur [“Ashshur”], seems to emerge as if from nowhere, leading some scholars in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s to consider the idea of Marduk being a fictitious figure imagined into being for purely political reasons.

Sarpanit [also Sarapan or Zarpanitu] is mentioned often in Babylonian prayer but does not appear in any of the significant mythic tablet cycles. She achieves an elevated status by her relationship with Marduk, and together, they are the parents of Nabu. At the spring equinox “A.KI.TI” festival she is the “spring-maiden” of fertility festivals in Babylon…
