BABYLONIAN MAGIC – Ancient Art of Priests, Kings & Magicians Revealed! by Joshua Free

“Systematic traditions, ‘hermetically sealed’ within themselves, rose from the Semitic grimoire-styled ceremonial magic, not surprisingly influenced by ‘Egypto-Babylonian’ forms of ritual magic (first the domain of Enki but later passed into the possession of Marduk and his scribe-son Nabu). The priest-magicians of Babylon would not actually have personally used a grimoire-like magic themselves, as this was not their way. At best, they would invoke the powers of the Anunnaki with incantations in the name of Marduk – but this manner of using the ‘secret names’ as properties of Marduk, or any other demigod, was a much more recent addition to the system…” –Joshua Free

[This blog-post appears courtesy of Mardukite Liber-51/52 available within the NEW Deluxe Edition of Sumerian Religion by Joshua Free. These materials are also available in the Year-2 Mardukite Anthology: Gates of the Necronomicon.]

During the era of the first ziggurat temples – the Anunnaki age – all of the magic constituted the ‘spiritual assistance’ that was governed by the state, ruled by priest-kings and temple attendants. The ‘mystics’ of Babylonia were all employed by the temples and scribe-houses, though there were undoubtedly those who confined themselves to their arts in the outlands, beyond the awareness of the societal realm.

The peasant class, however, did not practice much by way of ‘magic’ (as classified by anthropologists) outside of their own personal religious devotions, which in itself was mostly restricted to hymns and prayers learned from the temples. These personal devotions were also completely inclination-based, as there does not appear to be any prescribed devotional method or temple attendance required of a Babylonian citizen, nor even participation in national festivals.

Access to the ‘incantation-prayers’ of the priests were also not generally given to just anyone – and you had to be able to read them, or at the very least memorize them. General collections of these tablets were seldom kept, with the exception of priest-kings who might house their own personal libraries. An example: the Kuyunjik collection, called nis-kati (preserved in the British Museum) which was the private property of the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal.

The Altar of Offering set before the ‘Boat of the Gods’ (imagery also appearing in the Egyptian Tradition – a ‘Boat of the Gods’ carrying seven figures – e.g. the Seven Anunnaki Gods of the Babylonian ‘Younger Generation’) was also located at the official shrines – although personal altars could surely be constructed by a devotee appealing to their god, this would come much later during an era of ‘figurative mysticism’ because originally, these offerings would be physically received by a god in person, or via their ‘priestly secretaries’.

Common religious offerings included food and drink, incense and oil, even lavish jewelry and clothing – which were carried up the ziggurat steps of the ‘ladder to heaven’ to be placed before the feet of the god, or at the very least, at his ‘boat’ to be lifted to them.

When the appearance of the gods, themselves, was not present, it was customary to have an official piece of statuary left in there place. This became more and more figurative with the passage of time, and it is easy to see how many of these originating concepts evolved into later magical and religious practices – which were one and the same at their start.

Gold and lapis lazuli commonly appear as both ‘magical ritual aids’ and prestigious offerings to the ‘gods’ via their temples. Wands, necklaces and bags of loose lapis are often mentioned in esoteric texts (cuneiform tablets) from the Mesopotamians, in addition to golden rings and ‘amulet-plates’ marked with specific seals and cuneiform glyphs. Practical “underground” investigations into this type of work later developed into a modern standard used by the Mardukites who practice a contemporary Babylonian tradition, making use of illustrated sigil-seals and cuneiform signatures of the seven of the “Younger Generation” (as well as the Supernal Trilogy) – making ten sets in total. (See also the Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible and/or Book of Marduk by Nabu.)

Implementation of a practical magical system from the Babylonian ideal is somewhat different than what the contemporary mind, even an ‘esoteric’ one, is fundamentally familiar with. As opposed to the later magicians who appear to have had to connive and fool the hierarchies of spirits into assisting them, threatening them and even in fear of some retroactive revenge – the original magical system used by the priests of Babylonia was rooted in the deep personal relationship – running as deep as blood – that the Sumerian priest-kings and Mardukite NABU priest-scribes maintained with the sources of not only their religious power, but the basis of the entire system of civilization that allowed the progression of the human species into today.

All of this, according to tradition, resided in the influence of the Anunnaki gods – and the priest-kings and scribes were installed to be sure no one forgot this…

ANGELS & DEMONS of the New World Order – A New Vision of Enochian Magic & Kabbalah (with Joshua Free)

enochian-banner

“Wholeness comes from repairing the ‘fractured cracks’ of our understanding so that we might be ‘view’ and ‘experience’ reality with ‘clear’ and ‘self-honest’ eyes. Judging by the sheer number of literary works, organizations and even less organized members of the community still flock to these methods and practices for a means to ‘ascension’ or ‘enlightenment’ during this lifetime. The truth is… Many people, even among today’s ‘New Agers’ are still lacking in the appropriate knowledge to carry themselves along these paths and have them be ‘realized’ to their truest or fullest extent.”
–Joshua Free in Enochian Magic & Kabbalah

enochianmagic2017cropsmall For the first time in modern history, the true origins of Judaic Mysticism (the Kabbalah), Christian spiritual beliefs and other derived practices of ceremonial magic (such as the Enochian system, Hermetics and Golden Dawn methods) can now be traced directly to the archetypal ‘Sky-God’ traditions of the prehistoric Mesopotamia: The post-Sumerian Babylonian “Star-Gate” system dedicated to the Anunnaki.

ENOCHIAN MAGIC & KABBALAH: Summoning Angels, Aliens, UFOs and Other Divine Encounters (by Joshua Free) celebrates its 5th Anniversary with a new second edition!

The modern contemporary outlook on the ‘alien’ or ‘extraterrestrial’ and ‘inter-dimensional’ source behind these many experience is what ties it together. So long as people have been forced into a paradigm where the spiritual and mystical encounters of the past are made to look ‘ridiculous’, without basis and a fantasy-legend to tell our children to get them to sleep, no real ‘advancement’ can be made on the understanding and practical incorporation of these mysteries into everyday life. For this reason, the more ‘orthodox’ and ‘static’ systems of religion and spirituality that have dominated the Piscean Age are seeing a decline in membership and true practitioners for the simple fact that we are realizing more and more just how ‘fragmented’ they have actually become. And since we do not see the ‘greater systems’ bending at all to the new realizations available, it is us who must do the changing and usher in a new and authentic ‘paradigm shift’, which is what this whole “New Age” (Aquarian) is supposed to be about in the first place.

1001015_318340804969022_2026839541_n In Enochian Magic & Kabbalah, prolific occult writer, Joshua Free, brings together what is known of the ancient “Ladder of Lights”, the BAB.ILI system that constitutes the original “Tree of Life” ‘kabbalah’ found graphically present on ancient renderings and its connections to the later Judeo-Christian traditions and the evolution of human understanding of “Anunnaki”, “Igigi” and other sky-beings into the Hebrew renderings of the “Nephilim”, “Anakim”, “Elohim” and the like.

While new technological advancements bring no shortage to the intellectual Ego of the human mind, the entire purpose of existence, the source of the human species and the knowledge and paths that brought us to where we are now, have all been left behind, swept under a rug or otherwise been ‘concealed’ from the ‘commonplace reality’ of contemporary life. Assuming things were to remain so, the human race would be successful in only destroying themselves and leaving a huge mark on the planet in its wake – change must come, for the alternative is annihilation.

enochianmagic2017cropsmall Reexamination of the most ancient tablet renderings of the Anunnaki and the way in which they had initially developed among the local populations (to Mesopotamia) thousands of years ago should help to shed new light on the history of human civilization, the development of its cultural and religious beliefs and the way in which this interaction between people and god has affected their lives.

Today, in spite of the ‘normalcy’ attached to orthodox religions, humans live and act as a godless people, with no fear of someone watching over them in addition to being simply content with operating the program as they have been given it.

As the ‘next generation’ rises into maturity, understanding and power, we believe that these things will change; that new eyes and new vision will bring a New Babylon – a new world – to the planet and new evolutionary potential for the life living upon it!

enochian-banner

ENOCHIAN MAGIC & THE KABBALAH illustrates the singular origin of the mystical and spiritual traditions on the planet, all directed toward a human relationship with the “Divine“, however that might be viewed — angels, elementals, fairies, gods or other ‘alien’ beings — and more importantly, the methods by which they have been attracted into one’s life.

Since all of our available traditions today seem linked to these antiquated ‘Divine Encounters’, it seems fitting to make a self-honest exploration of the nature of these origins of belief and how they may affect our abilities to perceive the world and affect reality today.

Since the dawn of modern human history in Babylon & Egypt, magical tradition appeared as innate and indigenous forms of cultural and religious expression to give “order” to the human psyche…

Was ancient mysticism, esoteric wisdom and dramatic magical operations intended to be taken “literally” once committed to written records?

Are they actually indicators of something else beneath the surface of the way they have been understood for centuries? …even millenniums?

CYBERNOMICON_cover-preview “We are here to become great men and women, and with that purpose in view, we must eliminate everything in our religion and philosophy that tends to make the human mind a dependent weakling. If you would serve God and be truly religious, do not kneel before God, but learn to walk with God, and do something tangible every day to increase the happiness of mankind. This is religion that is worth while, and it is such religion alone that can please the Infinite.”

CYBERNOMICON in Hardcover and Paperback!

The Ancient Mystery School from which all occult lodges are founded is Necromancy. Deep rooted magical organizations all demonstrate active participation with “The Other,” bridging a communication between what is Visible and Invisible. Inner Circles maintain Dead Names and Knowledge from the Past. These are the Teachings of the Ages, Secret Wisdom of the Past… and a recovery of what is Dead.

keep-calm-and-be-a-cyber-5 Humans have been trying to crack the code on “Death” since the invention of religion. In Egypt, especially, the funerary process was central to the whole tradition-meaning the relationship (and promise) made between the “sky gods” and the people of Earth. Most of the oldest cuneiform writings in Mesopotamia are either an effort to preserve posthumous legacies of gods and kings, or investigations into the landscape of the Underworld and nature of the Abyss.

Sacred knowledge from ancient civilizations, including their technology, is understood only by looking beyond the contemporary knowledge we are educated with. Society claims to prize “individuality” and “innovation” yet requires its citizens to fall in step to learn and repeat — copy and paste — the same methodology held by previous generations. Mystics and Magicians demonstrate an upper hand in life by manifesting their will and finding themselves in synchronistic circumstances that seem magical. Understanding energy fields, their interactions and its affect on perceived reality is what makes this possible.

Marduk, Anunnaki god of Babylon, Son of Enki, Father of Nabu in Mardukite Tradition

mesopotamianmagicheadline

MARDUK — “The blatant industrious and expansive power of Jupiter has been placed at the height of most ‘Sky God’ Olympian pantheons as Zeus or a similar figure. The name (Jupiter) comes from the Romans: Dys Pater, meaning Father-God. This energetic current commands outright worldly success as well as the magic of spirits: command of the hierarchies…

BabylonianMagickCSpbCVRcrop This portion of the mardukite.com blog post is extracted from the “Book of Marduk by Nabu” (Liber W) also available in the recent commemorative “Babylonian Magick” anthology by Joshua Free.

NABU SPEAKS: “The Elder Gods originally attributed this position to Enlil in Sumer. I personally heralded my father, Marduk, into Enlilship of the “younger pantheon” in Babylon. Our tradition there, and in Egypt, was wholly based on him being the centralized figure. You may invoke my father for his strength and power, as well as a petitioner to the Elder Gods. He is exalted as the Master of Magicians, carrying the mysteries of my grandfather, Enki, to Babylon, and bestowing the traditions upon me to relay.” (Liber W)

bookofmardukthumb “The original designation of Jupiter is 50, the number attributed first to Enlil and later to Marduk by the Babylonians, who first was given the number 10. The color of the current is purple, but also airy and fiery colors (yellow, orange, black). This energy is preferred by many leaders and law enforcing folk, lending to those who are pure to receive it, the power to command the material world.” (Liber W)

“Marduk was proclaimed King of the Gods, replacing Enlil, and the other gods were required to pledge allegiance to him and to come to reside in Babylon where their activities could be easily supervised. This usurpation of Enlilship was accompanied by an extensive Babylonian effort to forge the ancient texts. The most important texts were rewritten and altered so as to make Marduk appear as the Lord of the Heavens, the Creator…”
Zecharia Sitchin, The Twelfth Planet (1976)

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop The name Marduk is actually a modernization taken from the Semitic “meri-dug” [Merodach]. The oldest version of a similar spelling AMAR.UTU [a.mar-utu.ki = “light of the sun on earth”] often translated by contemporaries as “solar calf” or “son of the sun” give some background to Marduk’s esteem. (Liber 50)

[The remainder of this mardukite.com blog post is extracted from a New Babylon Rising article derived from Liber 50 – now available in the new edition of Mesopotamian Religion by Joshua Free.]

zar
Being the foremost son of Enki, he gained power quickly. The Semitic name “Maerdechai” that came from the Chaldeo-Babylonian [silik-mul.u-khi] name meaning “Marduk is God.” The more common MAR.DUG means “son
of the pure mound,” and is thought to be connected to the pyramids in not only Mesopotamia, but in Egypt, where he raised himself as the leader of a third party (interpretation) of gods – the Egyptian Pantheon – as “Amon-Ra,” [and possibly also Horus] again identifying himself with the “solar” current.

cuneisdgsdg Marduk’s decision to raise himself to a monotheistic-like “God” status created new political issues for the Anunnaki on Earth – creating a reason for there to be tensions between the two lineages (of Enki and Enlil) for supremacy on earth (and the right to install their own lineages and chosen humans as kings in their stead).

THE RACE OF MARDUK…

Naturally, the other Anunnaki were less than appreciative of Marduk’s desire to rule over them, although the Age of Aries, his sign, did come and go and he was not left to his own in Babylon (or in Egypt). This seems to have been a disciplinarian act by the other gods.

babel98769878 Assuming the most common interpretation, Marduk was to lose rights of kingship “in heaven” for the taking of a “human” wife instead of his betrothed half-sister Inanna Ishtar. His argument was that Sarpanit (his consort) was a descendent of Adapa [see the Necronomicon Anunnaki
Bible
], and thus of Anunnaki bloodline; that Ishtar was no more interested in the union than he was, and it had not affected her rise to power; and finally, if not “in heaven,” why not “on earth”? The resulting catastrophes in the Middle East are evidence enough that this betrothal did not occur peacefully.

A MARDUKITE LEGACY BORN

In Assyrian accounts, Marduk, as the great “father-god” Assur or Ashur [“Ashshur”], seems to emerge as if from nowhere, leading some scholars in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s to consider the idea of Marduk being a fictitious figure imagined into being for purely political reasons.

Sarpanit [also Sarapan or Zarpanitu] is mentioned often in Babylonian prayer but does not appear in any of the significant mythic tablet cycles. She achieves an elevated status by her relationship with Marduk, and together, they are the parents of Nabu. At the spring equinox “A.KI.TI” festival she is the “spring-maiden” of fertility festivals in Babylon…

Ancient Mesopotamian Religion: Secrets of the Anunnaki in Sumerian Mythology with Joshua Free

claytabletsheader

The most critically acclaimed and bestselling materials from the Mardukite Research Organization now available in one volume!

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop A master compilation of mythological and religious exploration into the heart of the ancient Mesopotamian Mysteries, this easy-to-read post-modern anthology illuminates the ancient world using revolutionary teachings and source materials of the modern Mardukite Chamberlains (Mardukite Research Organization) and edited by Joshua Free, the presiding Nabu of the administration since its inception…

SumRelSet MESOPOTAMIAN RELIGION is a highly innovative and accessible ‘academic edition’ of the Mardukite Chamberlains “Year-2” research and development, including the complete text from two installments: Sumerian Religion: Secrets of the Anunnaki & The Origins of Babylon (Liber 50) & Sumerian Religion II: Secrets of the Anunnaki in Babylonian Mythology (Liber 51/52) in a single incredible compilation!

The quest toward the uncovering of ancient arts has a fundamental theme in mind: the establishment of true knowledge concerning the powers these arts were dedicated to and then a working relationship with these powers. This is the true “wizard’s” art, who pleases the “gods” in such a way as to attain “favors,” and does not waste time provoking malignant spirits to their circle, fearing for their lives at the mistaken utterance of an incantation. The true and ancient system is nothing like this.
Joshua Free in MESOPOTAMIAN RELIGION

cunei Given what is available in the most ancient writings recovered, we are brought to the traditions and spirito-mystical systems of the Middle East, those born from the ancient Sumerians and alter extended to interpretations by the Chaldeo-Babylonians, Akkadians, Assyrians and even Egyptians. The spread of this tradition across Europe led to even more fanciful and colorful realizations of the primary Olympian mythology that had first been realized in ancient Mesopotamia.

1001015_318340804969022_2026839541_n The ancient Sumerians called this race of “Sky Gods,” the “Anunnaki.” Their legacy and influence on the planet and towards the cultivation of human civiliz-ation is only recently becoming common knowledge within the last few decades. Of course, with this, has also come an increased amount of “fluff” and “bullshit” by many who have caught this wave and either believe they do know something, or else are intentionally misguided to further the misrepresentations that now run rampant in modern spiritual revivals, New Age literature and on the internet.

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop Given the restricted access to a lot of the source materials available, many in contemporary society are simply uneducated enough, themselves, to properly discern this flood of information. This was, in fact, on the surface level, one of the purposes for the establishment of the modern Mardukite Ministries, far more than to extend covert devotion to a specific deity in the pantheon, Marduk, for which the name was derived.

The Anunnaki beings are in fact the “gods” who made an appearance as “divine representatives” to all of the ancient cultures on the earth planet. What’s more, their presence was later interpreted in the guise of “fairy tales,” which seem to carry remnants of a folk magic tradition from ancient times into to today. Curiously, the “ceremonial magic” of the priests of old, including the self-styled magicians of today, are really working with these same forces, simply under other guises and names. Given this to be the case, the proper understanding of and establishment of our position with these beings, as part of the greater whole, is perhaps the most paramount endeavor of our physical existence.

How To Build a Better Babylon Today for NexGen Mardukites of Tomorrow with Joshua Free

Babylon2 We are also witnessing a rise in interest in the materials and resources that provide clues into this ancient and forgotten past at face value, meanwhile there is a decline in distribution in specifically ‘magick’ or ‘occult’ materials that saw such mainstream popularity in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Since there are few actual organizations and research groups publicly active (outside the Mardukites) that are examining these facets as interconnected, most of the public is still of the mindset that ‘new age revivals’, ‘ceremonial holy magic’, ‘religious spirituality’, ‘governing systems of politics’, ‘ancient sky gods’, and ‘inter-dimensional’ or ‘alien’ beings are all mutually exclusive to one another, sharing no singular basis, and at best, the flights of imagination by primitive minds. No wonder we need change!

vlcsnap-2011-08-13-21h32m43s221 While new technological advancements bring no shortage to the intellectual Ego of the human mind, the entire purpose of existence, the source of the human species and the knowledge and paths that brought us to where we are now, have all been left behind, swept under a rug or otherwise been ‘concealed’ from the ‘commonplace reality’ of contemporary life. The idea of ‘summoning’, ‘conjuring’, ‘invoking’ or otherwise initiating contact with the ‘other’ from our side of reality is nothing new – in fact it is the very basis of ALL ‘magic’ and ‘spirituality’ known to man. In modern times, however, one really must examine the self-honest desire to accomplish such a feat given the societal programming from the public and the media toward such things. The “Divine” is not interested in making spectacle appearances, nor do “angelic” messengers wish to make a physical visitation in such a way that might threaten their own existence based on the way in which humans and human governments (and military) are most likely to meet with such encounters. For this reason, it has always seemed to be the most pious and devoted that are ‘blessed’ with these experiences.

That divine encounters seem possible at all is some-thing that most people are required to take on faith, either in regard to human history or for the basis of their own spiritual tradition. However, without the possibility of these things, any pursuits outside the mundane would seem pointless and less ‘real’ than the world we are most likely to be facing outside each day. The truth of the matter is really the exact opposite; that the ancient world was based on the harmonic relationship between humans and the ‘other’ and that it has only been “us” who have now separated, forgotten and dismissed these beings who are no longer as present among us. We have become stubborn and spiteful children with feelings of abandonment and it is up to us to reclaim that unity and bridge the gap, no longer waiting for an ‘other’ to make the first move…
