“Babylonian Wicca: A Practical Beginner’s Guide” provides everything someone needs to establish their own personal Babylonian Wiccan tradition-either as a solitary practitioner, or with others in a group. There is no expectation that a reader of “Babylonian Wicca” is already familiar with the subjects contained-whether the “Anunnaki” deities, the “land between the rivers” in the Ancient Near East, or the structure of modern “Wiccan” tradition. It is in this sequence that Rowen Gardner edits together the data for this anthology:
— starting with “Sumerian Religion” to introduce the Anunnaki pantheon of Sumerians and Babylonians;
— then “Priestess of Babylon” to describe beliefs and practices as they originally appeared in ancient Mesopotamia;
— and finally, “The Witch’s Handbook” where we see how the Old Ways evolved into a formula useful for crafting modern traditions of paganism.
The lore contained within “Babylonian Wicca” drawn from Ancient Near Eastern cuneiform tablets, the original native writings on planet Earth describing the actions and attributes of their deities. This Anunnaki pantheon is quite special to the ancient world and quite far-reaching; because it influenced the nature of other later emerging “celestial” mythologies thereafter and the entire structure of understanding “gods” and “goddesses” in the very first historical civilizations.
Mesopotamia is also unique its union (or absence) of Divine “sex/gender” characteristics. We find both a god and goddess (as a “Divine Couple”) representing aspects like the Moon and Sun, rather than polarizing them. This is just one of the many major implications when developing modern “Babylonian Wicca” traditions for the New Age.

If you find yourself writing the same name on several lists, then run the following processes using that name as the “terminal” (blank space) in the PCL (‘processing command lines’). If there are multiple names that frequently appear, then run those names as terminals too (each as their own series of processes).
There is no “judgment” applied here about someone else’s intentions toward us. The very fact that their name shows up frequently on these “lists” is sufficient to indicate there is enough charge present (as fragmentation) for that “suppressive terminal” (their name) to be run in processing.

Here, we approach the subject of ‘handling’ versus ‘disconnection’ from a point of Self-Honesty (and no other intention or ulterior motive). Naturally, the preferred option is always to properly ‘handle’ (confront) any situation that is experienced. But, this may sometimes be ‘above’ the current skill or ability level of an individual.
Note that as a Seeker progresses along the Pathway (‘New Standard Systemology’ course material published from Mardukite Academy), more and more of the “hiccups” and “upsets” of the Human Condition—and experience of life in general – are able to be confronted “As-It-Is” (how things actually are).
“There are also those unexpected or intense situations when an individual quickly becomes overwhelmed – the sense that one has become too much the effect of the environment (or external source). The best course of action in this case is to remove yourself from the overwhelming influence and ‘catch your breath’ in a safe position. One reason why certain persons and situations are so challenging for many individuals to handle, is because, quite often: the “present occurrence” restimulates much older (and longer) “chains of fragmentation” – stirring up turbulence from similar situations in the past that were left unresolved (not-confronted). This is what influences our succumbing to external “pressures.”
While it is easy to identify the more obvious situations we have encountered, it is the “covert attacks” and “passive-aggressive” efforts to dominate or invalidate us, that many Seekers are unprepared to handle in life. The most dangerous of our supposed “opponents” are those that specifically attempt to “suppress” our progress, gains, creative ability, and of course, advancement on the Pathway-to-Ascension.

A personality or player that is a suppressive-type will consistently try to invalidate – or “make less of” – you. Their general aim for control is to “stop action.” Encounters with such types tend to leave us feeling “depressed” or “hopeless” – and yet they may also attempt to make us, in some way, “dependent” on them. But the decision to remain ‘connected’ is ultimately a personal choice – and an individual always has the right to ‘disconnect’ (or cease ‘communication’) when it is proper to do so.
“It is senseless to try to avoid all encounters with domination and competition in this Universe. The most desirable position (or solution) is to simply be in such “good condition” (as an Actualized Seeker) that these “external” other-determined) efforts do not have enough “impact” to invalidate you—that your level of Awareness “exceeds” the degree or level of energy or force being “thrown at” you, and it may be essentially dissolved “As-It-Is.”

Nearly all Seekers pursuing ‘New Standard Systemology‘ material will respond incredibly well. Naturally, most Seekers are willing and open to experience their own Self-improvement. They are not resistant to achieving critical personal gains that extend beyond the ‘standard-issue’ Human Condition. Of course, not everyone is on board with the general ideal that:
** A strong healthy home, group, society, or movement, is composed of strong Self-actualized individuals. A ‘Road to Happiness’ (achieving the greater good, experience of metahuman / spiritual evolution) is not paved with entrapment, manipulation, and suppression of a population. **
“Information (data, news, knowledge, instruction, etc.) is easily mishandled – or miscommunicated (especially by ‘problem-personalities’). Whether intentional or otherwise: such misinformation or false-data is inherently fragmentation by nature. One might recognize ‘problem-personalities’ by the way they handle information – meaning their observable ‘communication’. The ‘suppressive’ nature of the individual is usually present in their speech – in the ‘communication‘ they relay. They are often quite critical, with broad sweeping remarks, promoting the type of personalized ‘invalidation’ (already described in previous article partsfor this blog series) that keeps others ‘down’ – which is to say, ‘suppressed’.
“One way in which falsehood is spread, is by ‘Passing the Buck’. This is when ‘blame‘ is misplaced onto some individual, family, group, or society – demographic, race, country, etc. This is a misdirection of attention (a fragmentation of Awareness) from a ‘true source’ to a ‘false source’ (thereby disguising the real origin of an action).” —Joshua Free, PC-8, Conquest of Illusion and Pathway to Ascension (Vol.1)
Another commonly used tactic is to misdirect or ‘shift’ the data about the date/timing of an event – replacing actual data with invented data. This not only obscures the facts, but can also either ‘diminish’ or ‘exaggerate’ the significance of the data—such as representing events as being ‘longer ago’ than they actually are, etc.
“Sometimes efforts to ‘shift significance’ of facts are more direct. For example: someone might overtly (visibly or obviously) either ‘downplay’ or ‘exaggerate’ the perceived importance (significance) of some data for their own covert (hidden) purposes or gains. It is sometimes quite challenging to differentiate between truth and falsehood, or to effectively dispel illusion. We have all had a lot of experience in mastering these skills of trickery and illusion. (On a meta-level, they are even used to conceal the true native state of ourselves as Alpha-Spirits, which is to say, as spiritual beings.

When an individual ‘Knows’, they are not susceptible to “falsehood.” Only after an individual (a spiritual being or Alpha-Spirit) agrees to ‘Not-Know’ (in order to have a sense of game) will they fall prey to trickery and deception. One of the ways this occurs is through misdirection of attention – which is to say “distraction.” By this we mean: the mechanism that allows a stage-magician to fool an audience by concealing what is really going on.

Mardukite Systemology reveals truth by defragmenting (treating or undoing) untruth with ‘systematic processing’ (exercises and techniques). The actual and absolute is the natural native basic state of things – and an actual absolute allows for no real definitions or classification, because it simply Is. (Hence we do not find absolutes manifest in this Physical Universe; they are viewed more like a ‘direction’ of travel.)
What we are really concerned with defining and clearing for an individual, are the many layers of conditions and reality agreements that have been ‘superimposed’ over the the original native basic state of the true Spiritual-Self that is back of and behind all of this other stuff we got going on ‘down here’.

FREEDOM is an an actual absolute that is beyond quantity and qualification — and so, to attach any symbol or definition to it, is to impose “boundaries” onto that which, by its own nature, is thought to represent the very lack of such restriction. Is it able to be realized in this World, if we are still subject to entrapment within the Human Condition?
FREEDOM exists beyond boundaries of space and time — just as does the Human Spirit, in its own original basic absolute state. As a true absolute, one could consider ‘Freedom’ as “space without limit” — but also without any energy or matter present, because such would be a barrier to absolute space. This is also a perfect description of the original basic state prior to any creation.
On a material, social, and political level, it is easy to believe that a concept of “Slavery” is the opposite of “Freedom” — but this is not systematically true. To chart a true path, it is just as important to know with certainty where one is reaching from, as it is to know where one is reaching toward.
The actual fragmented condition that is opposed to Freedom is Entrapment — such as when a Spiritual Being became entrapped into the Human Condition in the first place. Many aspects of this life can incite emotional responses or restimulate rebellious actions; but it is really our being a Spirit in a state of entrapment within the Human Condition that we are actually reacting too.
“The originating trigger or restimulation of ‘invalidation fragmentation’ is usually from someone else (or others). It is only when these criticisms (or opinions) are, for whatever reason, actually agreed to as reality (or ‘made ones own’) from a high level of thought, that they will affect the Spiritual Self. The proper way to develop, enhance, or regain, an ability, requires validating one’s own successes — even when they are only small gains. Eventually, we want to be able to withstand invalidation from other outside sources as well; to confront their existence without agreeing to them ourselves. An actualized individual could face all the criticism in the world and be unaffected so long as they do not consider Self as ‘less’.
For example: a professional may make many mistakes, but the skill level continues to increase, so long as the mistakes are not used to invalidate the many accomplishments along the way. A true professional in sports continues their improvement by validating the many goals, hits, or scores, they have made in their career. They do not invalidate themselves just because of a critical miss — in spite of whatever “boos” and ridicule come from others.
“In a state of fragmentation — outside Self-Honesty — the Human Condition maintains a quite ‘fragile’ sense of Self-worth and certainty. The less actualized an individual is, the more easily their thought processes and actions may become ‘unbalanced’; the more easily they may be led to invalidate whatever slight confidence they have. On our long journey down the Backtrack of our long spiritual existence, we have experienced a great many things on both sides of this area — and hence our processing must treat considerations derived from both sides: because we have all participated in invalidating each other at some point or another. This even led us to being more susceptible to its effects, ourselves.

One reason we do not want to act in “avoidance” of invalidation, is because operating in such a manner often includes “holding-back” as a mechanism. To avoid any possibility of invalidation, or situations where one may encounter it, the individual holds themselves back from reaching into entire areas of existence.

Although Mardukite Ministries (Mardukite Research Org. / Mardukite Truth Seeker Press) launched in 2008, the actual inception of a functional organization or group directed by mystic philosopher Joshua Free — originally known as the Mardukite Chamberlains (Council of Nabu-Tutu / Ordo Nabu Maerdechai) — occurred in early 2009 during the Akiti Spring Babylonian New Year; and soon after, observed its first official global synchronized ritual observance for Beltane 2009.
Fifteen years later, in 2024, the original Mardukite Research Org. still continues today (a legacy now maintained by The Joshua Free Imprint / JFI Publications). The main Org. has since evolved into two separate but interconnected traditions: Mardukite Zuism (Mesopotamian Neopaganism) and the Mardukite Systemology Society (New Standard Systemology). Starting in 2020, all development and distribution of official material has been overseen by the Mardukite Academy of Systemology.

ORIGINAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE MARDUKITE “NECRONOMICON” AND “ANUNNAKI BIBLE”
The Spring 2009 inception of the Research Org. sparked a pattern of treating “research phases” (or “years“) on a March-to-March calendar basis. A decision to develop the “Mardukite Core” (of literary materials) as a “cycle” of NECRONOMICON work was unanimously agreed with by the original Chamberlains — all of which were esoteric practitioners that were previously familiar with a Babylonian-Anunnaki-Mardukite motif (from an occult perspective) as a result of the spiritually lackluster and academically incomplete 1977 Simon Necronomicon.
The first installment of the “cycle” duplicated material used during the 2009 Beltane Gate “cementing” of a modern “Mardukite” tradition (or paradigm) in human consciousness. (The very fact that you are reading this now, in 2024 or later, is evidence that the original intention has endured.)
A limited release (Lapis Edition) of the first installment — known simply as Liber-N, or the 1st Edition of the “Necronomicon by Joshua Free” — became available to underground members of the Mardukite Chamberlains on the 2009 Summer Solstice, exactly one year after the original launch of the Mardukite movement (with the 2008 publication of Arcanum).
Additional developments for inclusion in the “Core” (“cycle“) arrived throughout the 2009summer and autumn — providing for limited printings of Liber-L and Liber-G installments.

A limited commercial hardcover publication featuring all of Liber-N, along with early portions of Liber-L, was arranged by Joshua Free with Tracy R. Twyman’s publishing company as the 2nd Edition of the “Necronomicon by Joshua Free.” This marked the first Mardukite material commercially available to the general public (starting in August 2009). It would take another decade — upon its 10th Anniversary (in 2019) — for a significantly revised and more complete edition to commercially appear again in hardcover (as Necronomicon: The Anunnaki Bible).
The completed “Year-1” “Mardukite Core” was combined together for the first time in early 2010 — as the 3rd Edition (with a limited underground release as the title “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible“). It contained Liber-N, Liber-L, Liber-G, and Liber-9, as well as supplemental articles. By the end of 2010, a 4th Edition was prepared for wider public distribution (the first “Anunnaki Bible” to commercially appear in print).
Several new installments of the “Mardukite Core” appeared during Mardukite R&D “Year-2” (2010) and “Year-3” (2011). Only some of this newer material was officially incorporated into the “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” for its 5th Edition (published in 2012). This included the Tablet-W series first published as Book of Marduk by Nabu (now also available as Anunnaki Prayers); and English translations of the Tablet-M series that first appeared in The Maqlu Ritual Book (and now also available as Anunnaki Rites).
By 2014, a new Tablet-S series (“Book of Sajaha/Shayaha the Seer“) had been translated and integrated into the “Core” — which appeared in the 6th Edition release. This marked the final addition to the Mardukite Tablet-Series Catalogue to fully complete the originally intended “Anunnaki Bible” project. From this point onward, the main body of the Mardukite “Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible” changed little, although an additional decade would be spent continuing to revise and perfect the cornerstone volume.

Druidic traditions of the Winter Solstice surface to mind more quickly, since they are the most relatively recent customs and rites observed in the Western Europe and our known history, from which America is founded. Ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians also observed the astrophysical phenomenon of the solstice.
Ancient “pagans,” understood the Winter Solstice as a turning point or renewal of the year. The strength of the Sun grows from this point, being the darkest day, until the Summer Solstice (the longest day). The Norse people were the ones to
call the festival “Yule,” meaning, “wheel,” which qualifies us to believe that they too
understood this symbolism.
During the winter season, at a time when the wildlife is hibernating and quiet and the Green World of Nature appears to have recessed into a state of retirement, the evergreen trees stood out among other trees. They were revered for their ability to sustain the harsh season, observed to be better equipped to handle the pressure of wind-storms and the weight of snow. Their resilience and longevity was attributed to this very fact; they were able to “bend” gracefully to external influences, while still maintaining their own independence.
YULE LOGS existed in pre-Christian Phrygia/Galatia (Turkey) and Mesopotamia all the way across Europe to the British Isles. It was kindled on the remains of the log saved from the prior year’s observation, after the ashes have been removed. The large log was fed into the hearth over a period of twelve nights (until “Twelfth Night”).
Meanwhile, the ashes from the previous year are ritually cast about the field to ensure fertility for the coming year. A part of the Yule Log is always kept to use in kindling the next year’s fire. This is retained for use as a sacred amulet of protection for the household all year long, often kept near the hearth to ward away lightning.
“INVADER ZIM”
As much as the Christmas tree has essentially nothing to with the religious event of Jesus’ birth, the Elven-Norse symbolism of the “Holly King” or “Santa Claus” has even less.
Today, a mythos of Santa Claus is recognized that is far removed from its original form. The Yuletide colors have always been red and green and occasionally white, gold and silver. These are the earth tones that Santa originally wore. In the early 1900s, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company used their own color scheme to harmonize their product with Santa and the holidays. The motif stuck. They were successful in directing a cultural shift in accepting this now famous red and white suited archetype.
THE ROMANIAN STRIGOIare not just any Vampyres. They are the original Transylvanian Vamps, the Cursed Ones, the Damned. They are the ones never finding rest in material death and eternally wander the earth unsatisfied. They Feed on mortals without reservation or respect and are the base-model of 20th century Vampires, starting with Dracula.
By Church standards, the Strigoi are treated as victims of a religious disease. Certain conditions seem to carry it: the seventh same sex child in a family; to lead a life of sin; to not attend church services or receive the Sacraments; to die without being married; to have participated in Dark Arts; to have performed “unnatural” acts; sexual deviation; to be executed for perjury; being cursed by a witch; and suicide. Clearly this is the “troubled soul” of a dead person…
Strigoi emphasize power as Blood and recognize Bloodlines as FamTrad Legacies. They encourage “Sanguine” vampyrism and carry most of the usual traits: pale skin, blood drinking, inhabiting tombs and haunting crypts.
Ancestors remain a significant part of the religion as Undead they call the Strigoii Morte. Starfyre energy continues to be exchanged (or passed down) within the family Legacy even after First Death, as a means for perfecting the etheric body.
We find lore of the famous Vlad III, Vlad Tepes, Vlad the Impaler – the one called Vlad III Dracula, meaning: Son of Vlad II Drakul. A prince of southern Romania is celebrated as a national hero and not as a Vampire.
Although Vlad is often considered some character basis for Bram Stoker‘s famous work, there is actually very little similarity connecting the two, aside from some names and locations. There is also nothing in lore or history connecting Vlad with any true Vampyric or Strigoi religious traditions.
Ironically, one of the first sanctioned Vampire Hunters in history is none other than his father, Vlad II Drakul. He is instated as a member of the Order of the Dragon, and while that might sound cool and esoteric, it is a religious fraternity similar to the Knights Templar during the Crusades. Their primary goal: to protect the integrity of Christianity from the Muslim Turks – which they called “vampires.”

Vampire Hunters, Holy Orders of the Church and Dragonslayer Knights all suddenly appear in the Realm as if from nowhere during the Dark Ages, a time of significant vampire activity. Lore of crosses carried as amulets, wooden stakes, garlic necklaces and holy water all develop during this time.
It is curious that mundane outsiders would have such a problem with Our culture. By Our standards, Christianity is simply another tradition that, like Us is based on teachings of an Undead deity – one containing elements of both Living Vampyre and Living Zombie traditions. Consider the “Last Supper” where their deity upgraded his human followers by exchanging power through transhuman Blood. This is exactly the same as the esoteric tradition of Sanguine Starfyre practices.
