JOHN TOLAND coined the term “pantheism” in 1705, describing the philosophical paradigm of Spinoza – a doctrine that identifies “God” or divinity with the whole of the Universe – All-as-One. As revealed in the pages of the PANTHEISTICON, this Secret Doctrine, observing a “Universal Law” animating and acting upon all things, is actually one-to-one with an “Esoteric” Truth known among learned brotherhoods since ancient times – and it is not the same as the “Exoteric” truths vulgarly thrown about and debated on the surface world for the Realm of the masses.

PANTHEISM is named for a “divine energy” imbuing and encompassing All Things and the “Cosmic Law” that dictates the natures of All Things and their energetic interactions with each other. This Truth exists at all levels – those we can observe causally and even those we only see effects from. It exists independent of human belief and whims of fantasy, yet is responsible for sparking both. It was observed among elite classes of the ancient world just as it has been carried forth into modern “New Age” systems via mystic traditions of Freemasonry, Rosicrucians, Illuminati, and in the case of this “wizard’s handbook of John Toland” – the founding father of Antiquarian NeoDruidism.

JOHN TOLAND published his PANTHEISTICON in 1720 (along with a related work CLIDOPHORUS excerpted in the appendix of this Tercentenary 300th Anniversary Edition) with only a few copies circulating privately.

In spite of the “Universal Truth” professed, in its time, the title, use of pagan ideology and a liturgy imitating that of the Church of England was as offensive as the appearance of a “Satanic Bible.”
