The Summer Solstice, June 21 (2026), marks the 18th Anniversary of the official “modern” Mardukite inception – first launched publicly by Joshua Free in 2008 (June 21) simultaneous with an underground limited edition release of his original “Arcanum: The Great Magical Arcanum” mega-volume.
“Arcanum” marked the first reappearance of Joshua Free in public view after nearly a decade, having initially made his mark in the underground “New Age” esoteric occult community in the 1990s – and first time in public under his given name, having used a pseudonym (Merlyn Stone) exclusively prior.
The “Arcanum” volume provided a synthesis of available standardized metaphysical and occult knowledge collected from the “New Age” up to that point. In turn it provided a standardized research reference for a slow-to-emerge group of modern “magicians” and “academics” eventually known as the Mardukite Chamberlains in 2009.
However, although the internet and sudden appearance of publications (in public view) might appear as though Joshua Free and the Mardukites appeared as if from nowhere, a significant amount of time and work actually led up to this development.
Looking back now: “Arcanum” and the founding of a modern Mardukite movement marked completion of the “first-phase” of Joshua Free‘s literary and philosophic career (referred to as Grade-I in a chronological study of his progressive works for Mardukite Academy) pertaining exclusively to the world of traditional “magick” – both high ceremonial and nature-oriented systems.
Between the years 1995 and 2008, Joshua Free produced a variety of “traditional magick” texts – differing significantly from the scope of work that came afterward.
Although more widely available now, the very first books were initially all self-published and delivered directly to underground contacts – and a handful of “New Age” retail outlets willing to take a chance on the young “magician’s” work.
Today, many of the earlier works are now collected together in large prestigious anthologies for posterity, including:

As an emerging metaspiritual movement, launching Mardukite Chamberlains signaled the start of a second major developmental phase of Joshua Free‘s notoriety and literary works (referred to as Grade-II in chronological studies of his progressive work for Mardukite Academy).
This new phase was dedicated to Mesopotamian Anunnaki of the Ancient Near East; but above all else, illuminating the archaic and obscure “Mardukite”mystery tradition of historical (and near pre-historical) Babylon. It is, perhaps, this work regarding the Anunnaki that is the most widely circulated (most well known to a larger demographic of readers and Seekers) of all books by Joshua Free.
In 2009, and for a few years thereafter, several “discourses” were prepared for use by the Mardukite Chamberlains. It took very little time for these to be collected together to form the very first “source book” of study and practice for a modern tradition – and the official “Mardukite” interpretation of ancient cuneiform texts forming a “Bible” that predated the Judeo-Christian religious system.
This so-called “Mardukite Bible” (or “Necronomicon Bible” as it is also known in select esoteric circles – and there isn’t room enough in this blog to get into the reasons for this) is now updated to its Ninth Edition for a 15th Anniversary release available in both “esoteric” and “academic” versions (meaning essentially, both with and without the word “Necronomicon” in the title). Without dispute, for over a decade, it is literally the most popular material produced by JFI Publications.
NECRONOMICON (15th Anniversary): THE COMPLETE ANUNNAKI BIBLE (Ninth Edition)
The current 15th Anniversary (Ninth Edition) updated printings released of the complete “Bible” are as follows:
The first few years (2010 through 2014) following “The Complete Anunnaki Bible”source book consisted of a lot of activity. Many important supporting supplements to the “Bible” were published, including: “Sumerian Religion”; “Babylonian Myth and Magic”; and for the esoteric community, “Novem Portis.” Together, the total collected body of knowledge became known as the “Mardukite Core.”
During the initial development period of Mardukite work (and a “Magick School” that organically emerged from the phase-one work), from 2008 through 2011, Joshua Free posted hundreds of YouTube videosto the internet at the height of the Web 2.0 era – becoming one of the earlier known “internet personas” long before capitalized social influencing and paid sponsored exposure dominantly overshadowed the online world.
The original (fundamental) end-goal of this second-phase (Grade-II) work concerns establishing a standardized “Mardukite” system of Mesopotamian Neopaganism for modern practitioners seeking such. Accomplishing this ultimately fills a dire need in modern esoterica – since most other revival traditions were usually grounded in relatively more accessible mythoi, such as Celtic, Norse, Roman, African, Native American, Hawaiian, Greek and Egyptian cultures.
To distinguish from the original continuously updated research and development era of the Mardukite Chamberlains, this relatively more recently produced “new standard” for the “New Age” became known as Mardukite Zuism. In this case, materials from the original “Mardukite Core” are now also available in pocket paperback“New Standard Zuist Editions” that compose an incredibly unique library when combined.

After more than five years, the most recent new addition to the Mardukite Core took place only last year (in 2025) with the premiere hardcover release of “Priestess of Babylon”by Kyra Kaos (writing with Joshua Free); also issued as “Anunnaki Priestess” for its pocket paperbackNew Standard Zuist Edition.
Given the fact that a couple more titles are planned for that series over the next couple years, it is safe to say that: at its completion, the modernMardukite legacy will be the result of two solid decades of development and refinement. And while certainly impressive in itself, even this second-phase of work is not the ultimate end-point of what Joshua Free intended to accomplish when starting out over thirty years ago…
Seeds of a third-phase of work took root within the heart of the second… In fact, many Mardukite Chamberlains even served as an integral part of the third-phase (Grade-III+) simultaneous with ongoing development of the Mardukite Core / Mardukite Zuism. This is because: prior to being given a public launch at the end of 2019, initial development of Joshua Free‘s“Systemology” remained primarily underground and behind-the-scenes (away from public view) for nearly a decade.
Beyond a synthesis of “western magical tradition” or even the “anunnaki tradition” of the near-east, Joshua Free‘s original intended goals for both personal metaspirituality and a literary career concerns the communication (a written relay for posterity) of the ultimate universal Systemology – not to be confused with any other author’s use of the term.
Having laid out the overall picture, let us correct a misunderstanding that we at the office are frequently asked about…
Published materials from the Mardukite Academy (JFI Publications) are “Graded” based on the chronological “sequence” or “order” in which they were originally developed during Joshua Free‘s literary career. This is the logic on which the Academy is structured, but they do not need to be studied this way; nor does someone need to, for example, study Grade-II (Mesopotamia, etc.) in order to understand and use Grade-III+Systemology. While it is true that all of the work is related in some way and complimentary to each other, each “Grade” is complete enough to be treated exclusive the others.
Just as years of refinement were necessary to bring the Mardukite Core to a point of standardization, the same may be said of the research and development behind Systemology – although after 2018, it occurred at a much faster pace and required significantly more resources than the other two phases combined.
Until 2019, the only publicly available texts on Mardukite New Thought were later compiled into “Systemology: The Original Thesis.” Although the fundamental concept was in place for a long time, taking the work all the way to the top (to the Nth-degree) as an actual applied philosophy of effective metaspiritual technology would require many more years of intensive work. Fortunately, the necessary physical infrastructure had arrived to host both Mardukite Borsippa HQand the Mardukite Academy of Systemology – and thus the work ensued.
Officially emerging from the underground in 2019, the original cross-over material created a bridge between Mardukite Zuism and Systemology,
Much like the standardization of its precursor (Mardukite Zuism), the crowning achievement of the third-and-final-phase of literary and metaspiritual work – the end result – is widely considered the definitive apex or “magnum opus” by Joshua Free: New Standard Systemology. The significance of this essential work, while not as widely known to readers as the first two phases, could never be overstated or exaggerated. It is purely and simply phenomenal.
Mardukite Academy began issuing individual installments of New Standard Systemologyin late 2023 (and continued until its completion in early 2024). In total, New Standard Systemology consists of 33 individual parts intended for study in progressive sequence. And while all 33 parts are available as separate booklets, they do not need to be acquired individually one at a time in that way.
For example: the first six parts compose the individual lessons for the “New Standard Systemology Basic Course” – are all available in a single volume, “Fundamentals of Systemology” in either its original premiere hardcover editionoraworkbook-sized paperback.
New Standard Systemology is a progressive cumulative study. In order to bring it together into one place – one complete body – access to the earlier parts (such as from the Basic Course) is necessary to properly understand and use later parts.
After completing the first six parts of the “Basics,” the next step is for a Seeker to embark upon the main portion of their new journey: the “New Standard Systemology Professional Course,” which contains sixteen partsand covers Systemology Processing Levels 0 -to- 6.
Lessons from the “New Standard Systemology Professional Course”were first published as individual booklets by the Mardukite Academy, then combined together for two collector’s edition premiere hardcover volumes as “The Pathway to Ascension.” All sixteen parts have since been compiled into one workbook-sized paperback, “The Complete Pathway to Ascension.”

Having grown accustomed to a world existing in the shadows of the invisible hand — “Theys” and “Thems” (and no, I don’t mean as gender pronouns) — we generally take it for granted that our everyday reality is the subject of countless controversies, conspiracies, and cover-ups, even on a global scale. But the way in which this is communicated and understood, the way that it is confronted, is a very individual thing. Handled very uniquely to an individual, or at least types of individuals.

One must be careful in overgeneralizing about “People.” Just as we must be careful in generalizing or demonizing some supposedly invisible hand of “Theys” and “Thems” collectively guiding society in unseen ways. To do otherwise is to fall into the trap of thinking too much the way the other side thinks, which is in generalizations and associations.
For, if you notice, it is the side that seems to scream the loudest about some “Deep State” hidden somewhere else that has actually been protecting the same in its own nest. It is the side that has screamed the loudest about infidelity of the democratic system that has in actuality put more energy into fixing, rigging and colluding on electoral processes. The examples go on and on…
And let’s face it: the current regime and its supporters are strongly misogynistic; hence this Administration really only came into power (twice) when directly running opposed to female candidates.
“Conspiracy Theories” become the subject of jokes and mirth at the Mardukite Offices, because we have an old saying in the intel community about “hiding things in plain sight.” And that is what the enlightened individual is able to perceive about reality.
Only one side gains from the perpetuation of the “ultimate mystery.” Its poor communication among celebrated right-wing personas in media (like Alex Jones and Joe Rogan) exists for only one purpose: furthering control, hysteria, mistrust and misdirection; but never to properly inform. It serves the agenda of the other side while capitalizing healthily upon it. But it does nothing to assist those of us living in the Know.
Certainly, you keep secrets, too. You hold onto certain things very tightly that, if revealed, might disrupt the flow or pattern of life that you’ve grown accustomed to or how you are treated. Perhaps they are criminal things. Perhaps they are just socially taboo. Either way, you hold them to you closely and safeguard them like precious gems. But this too begins to affect the way you carry yourself and interact with others. In time, it may influence a great deal of your attention, your mode of thought and actions…
…It is by no surprise that a Mardukite Seeker using Systemology methods must handle such things on THE PATHWAY TO ASCENSIONin order to confront reality in Self-Honesty.
Over (nearly) 20 years, the Mardukite Org has grown exponentially into a progressive New Age information hub producing over 100 publications. Its driving force, prodigious author and mystic philosopher Joshua Free, directed Seekers:

Why make your mind up prematurely thinking about something using old memory or bad information when you can find out for yourself? In fact, each volume produced for the Systemology Society explicitly states at the beginning:
“Take nothing within this book on faith. Apply the information directly to your life. Decide for yourself.”
Modern-day circumstances and the socio-political atmosphere that we are presently experiencing was systematically predicted in SYSTEMOLOGY: THE ORIGINAL THESIS, first published 15 years ago. It briefly describes an 84-year cycle divided into four 21-year phases or twelve 7-year phases. But the point is that the full cycle is recursive; it repeats. And the conditions of the day are likened to those from 84-years prior – at which point, in this case, we were dealing with Nazi fascism on a global scale. A simple peek out the window today and we should not be so surprised at what we see.
Your ability to see and know is only barred by your willingness to look with Self-Honesty, which is to say “crystal clarity” – of which the manual, CRYSTAL CLEAR, proved very effective and popular among Seekers prior to our ability to offer publications for New Standard Systemology (which are the final books written by Joshua Free, including THE PATHWAY TO ASCENSIONmentioned above).
So long as an individual is perpetually occupying their attention on a “mystery” or if they believe that it everywhere out there is “too dangerous” to actually “look” for themselves, then they can be easily misled and controlled. It is a funny thing that humans seldom believe they require more “sense” and “reason” than they already have, being as greedy as they generally are.
But the fact remains that an individual generally believes they are thinking and acting in full control from Self. That they are completely aware and have a handle on what’s true and right. Yet we know this is not the case since most have yet to even distinguish the operative identities between the Self and a Body. Even these supposed religious types continue their backward operations as low-Awareness humans thinking they are carrying around some kind of spirit-soul appendage; when in reality, we are essentially spiritual intelligences carrying around bodies.
In this light, Mardukite Systemology has the ability to establish aspects of spiritual and psychological innovation directly to an individual that have only been the subject of speculation in prior attempts. Like never before, for the first time in human history, we have a legitimately effective metaphysical technology to:

Greetings, Dear Friends and Seekers.
Did you hear the one about the Persian King? He consulted his council of wise sages; asked them to produce a magic ring that could make him happy in times of sadness. After deliberating amongst themselves, they gave to him a simple ring with the inscribed words: THIS TOO SHALL PASS, with the clear implication that in this ever-evolving artificial creation you consider material reality… Nothing Lasts Forever.
You would think that the ‘apparent solidity’ of all this existence denotes some greater degree of ‘realness’ for its ‘reality’. But such a description only applies to a world with a ‘black’-and-‘white’ nature of only extreme conditions. Our existence, the one we experience day-to-day, does not support that belief. Yet many cling to it. It is a matter of fact that our existence is a projection across an entire spectrum of grays and hues and quantum leaps of perturbed energies; and at its core, not very ‘solid’ at all (and actually quite ‘mercurial’).
In the Fundamentals of Systemology (New Standard Systemology Basic Course), one of the little known influences to early Systemology development is introduced: Charles Fort, author of ‘Book of the Damned’ (1919). In it, he essentially open with the words that “By ‘the Damned’, I mean the Excluded” and that…
THE EXCLUDED WILL SOME DAY BE THE EXCLUDING.
Of course, the literal context Fort was referring to was ideas and data that the mainstream (authorities) had ‘Excluded’ – and then further existential allusions of ‘beingness‘ in general; but we would be hard pressed to objectify such conceptions as separate from the individuals that create and carry them…
So, by the damned, I mean the excluded.
But by the excluded I mean that which will some day be the excluding.
Or everything that is, won’t be.
And everything that isn’t, will be;
But, of course, will be that which won’t be.
It is our expression that the flux between that which isn’t and that which won’t be, or the state that is commonly and absurdly called ‘existence’, is a rhythm of heavens and hells: that the damned won’t stay damned; that salvation only precedes perdition.
The inference is that some day our accursed tatterdemalions will be sleek angels. Then the sub-inference is that some later day, back they’ll go whence they came.
It is our expression that nothing can attempt to ‘be’, except by attempting to ‘exclude’ something else: that that which is commonly called ‘being’ is a state that is wrought more or less definitely proportionately to the appearance of positive difference between that which is ‘included’ and that which is ‘excluded’.
It would be all too easy to quote the entirety of Fort’s first chapter (and it is something worthwhile to review and meditate upon). Certainly some will be able to read between the lines.
What is happening now? Well, personally, it is of great comfort that I completed the work I set out to make available after so many years of writing (among other things necessary to the visible work). That work is referred to a “New Standard Systemology” and is supported by an entire library of my formerly published works.

And it is something that current generations have not experienced before in America (often conceived of as these ‘Divided States‘ during this Second American Civil War unleashed publicly by ultra-conservative ignorance-fueled MAGA-culture during a traitorous insurrection on January 6, 2021), but of which has been swelling to spread even wider in this unusually technocratic age.
Authoritarian control of ‘free speech’, ‘free press’, and ability to ‘soap box’, is destruction of the last line of defense between a ‘free state’ and a ‘fascist regime’… and it has happened now in America.
And while it seems like a bit of 20/20 hindsight at this point, let’s just take a moment to intellectually review the other lines of defense that have fallen. It’s not a matter of my opinion, but of intelligence — and just maybe where you might want to put your attention if you hope to have a habitable country in 400 days.
For example, Lawrence Britt (a historian) studied the fascist regimes of our past and present (including the authoritarian examples of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Pinochet, and Suharto) and he found fourteen “characteristics of fascism” that they all held in common. So, what are they?
Powerful Continuous Nationalism.
Disdain for Recognition of Human Rights.
Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause of Problems.
Supremacy of the Military.
Rampant Sexism.
Obsessive Emphasis on National Security.
Religion and Government are Intertwined.
Protection of Corporate Power.
Suppression of Labor Power.
Disdain for Intellectuals, Scientists and the Arts
Obsession with Crime and Punishment.
Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fraudulent Elections.
Controlled Mass Media.
While it would be easy to point out the current-affair examples for each of these, such is not my intention in this discourse. It has never been my goal to ‘tell’ people what to think, or ‘how’ to think — and my Systemology work is simply a way of clearing the field in order to be ‘able’ to think.
ONLY A TRULY FASCIST AUTHORITARIAN REGIME WOULD OPENLY DECLARE THAT ANTI-FASCIST SENTIMENTS ARE PUNISHABLE TERRORISM.
So many individuals believe they are ‘thinking clearly’ and this is probably more dangerous than the simple fact that they are fragmented. At least in our Systemology, an individual is aware of the programming that is engaged in daily life. They work to improve themselves by improving their control and handling of emotional flows and thought.
Where else are we finding efforts to improve living conditions for everyone, without exclusion?
I haven’t seen it.
Maybe before they try pushing people to breed more, they might consider what environmental conditions they are subjecting the living to.
Then they seem surprised and insulted when the abused — and ‘Excluded’ — fight back.
Well. For many, it certainly does get harder every day not to just say:

During the five years (2020 – 2025) of its operation, Joshua Free delivered literally hundreds of lectures to students and Seekers at the ‘Academy’; most of which were recorded and transcribed (some of which were video recorded and even appear on the Mardukite YouTube channel). In addition to the courses listed above, Joshua Free’s ‘Academy Lectures’ directly served as the basis for such titles as ‘Imaginomicon’, ‘Way of the Wizard’ and ‘Systemology Backtrack’.
Many readers and underground figures are familiar with the more marketable and contemporary contributions Joshua Free made to the New Age, such as his work on Pheryllt Druidism, Practical Magick, and even Mesopotamian Neopaganism (as presented as Mardukite Zuism or in the guise of a Babylonian ‘Necronomicon’ or ‘Anunnaki Bible’). However, fewer individuals have taken the opportunity to explore the research and development that this earlier work was actually funding, which is to say, ‘New Standard Systemology’. Few understand what it even is.
Mardukite Systemology is a new evolution in ‘Human’ understanding concerning the “systems” governing Life, Reality, the Universe and all Existences. It is also a Spiritual Path used to transcend (go beyond) the ‘Human’ experience and reach True Ascension. ‘New Standard Systemology’ courses are intended to assist advancing a Seeker’s personal progress toward the upper-most levels of the Pathway.
‘New Standard Systemology’ is the ‘magnum opus’ — the ‘great’ and ‘final’ work — by mystic philosopher and prodigious metaphysical teacher Joshua Free. Various steps and stages will develop and occur over the next 18 – 24 months to streamline the use of JFI Publications to supplement independent learning and home-study.
While working towards his own metahuman metaspiritual Ascension and permanently separate from the material body, Joshua Free has assured us that he will be making regular reports in the form of audio recordings that will be intended for various audiences. These installments (called Nabu’s Journals) will be released and/or transcribed as needed and directly publicly or through the appropriate channels.

While there are ways of being constructively critical, most criticism is intended to reduce or ‘make nothing’ of another’s efforts or creations. “It is not uncommon to find that encounters with a very ‘suppressive-type’ during childhood can remain influential later on in life—even when that individual is no longer present. But that is how imprints work. When Solo-Processing the following exercise, use your notebook or Flight-log to record the data from each PCL-question. If you find yourself writing the same name on several lists, then run the following processes using that name as the “terminal” (blank space) in the PCL (‘processing command lines’). If there are multiple names that frequently appear, then run those names as terminals too (each as their own series of processes).
There is no “judgment” applied here about someone else’s intentions toward us. The very fact that their name shows up frequently on these “lists” is sufficient to indicate there is enough charge present (as fragmentation) for that “suppressive terminal” (their name) to be run in processing.
“The following series of processes begins with a familiar one (from a previous professional course lesson) regarding ‘help’. The purpose is not to enforce actually helping someone, but to restore ‘free choice’ (that is not overridden by fragmentation). “Most of us have encountered at least one individual in our present lifetime that continually ‘acts’ toward creating challenges and difficulties for you personally. Some individuals apply this effort to larger groups of people, or even society as a whole. Here, we approach the subject of ‘handling’ versus ‘disconnection’ from a point of Self-Honesty (and no other intention or ulterior motive). Naturally, the preferred option is always to properly ‘handle’ (confront) any situation that is experienced. But, this may sometimes be ‘above’ the current skill or ability level of an individual.
Note that as a Seeker progresses along the Pathway (‘New Standard Systemology’ course material published from Mardukite Academy), more and more of the “hiccups” and “upsets” of the Human Condition—and experience of life in general – are able to be confronted “As-It-Is” (how things actually are).
“There are also those unexpected or intense situations when an individual quickly becomes overwhelmed – the sense that one has become too much the effect of the environment (or external source). The best course of action in this case is to remove yourself from the overwhelming influence and ‘catch your breath’ in a safe position. This is referred to as ‘getting off the X’ (hot spot or target spot) by the Intelligence Community. One reason why certain persons and situations are so challenging for many individuals to handle, is because, quite often: the “present occurrence” restimulates much older (and longer) “chains of fragmentation” – stirring up turbulence from similar situations in the past that were left unresolved (not-confronted). This is what influences our succumbing to external “pressures.”
While it is easy to identify the more obvious situations we have encountered, it is the “covert attacks” and “passive-aggressive” efforts to dominate or invalidate us, that many Seekers are unprepared to handle in life. The most dangerous of our supposed “opponents” are those that specifically attempt to “suppress” our progress, gains, creative ability, and of course, advancement on the Pathway-to-Ascension.
“Enslavement and Domination are games as old as the Backtrack (meaning the total ‘spiritual timeline’ or ‘cosmic history of a spiritual being’) itself. In fact, there are some individuals that carry ‘fragmented purposes’ with them that are left over from old games (often from ‘past lives’) they still have a lot of their Awareness ‘stuck’ on. They are still ‘playing‘ or ‘acting‘ the ‘roles’ or ‘goals’ that they clung to long ago, but in thislife and thisgame. A personality or player that is a suppressive-type will consistently try to invalidate – or “make less of” – you. Their general aim for control is to “stop action.” Encounters with such types tend to leave us feeling “depressed” or “hopeless” – and yet they may also attempt to make us, in some way, “dependent” on them. But the decision to remain ‘connected’ is ultimately a personal choice – and an individual always has the right to ‘disconnect’ (or cease ‘communication’) when it is proper to do so.
“It is senseless to try to avoid all encounters with domination and competition in this Universe. It is an inherent part of the ‘roles’ and ‘goals’ perceived as part of the game; but many players are perceiving and operating with ‘fragmented purposes’ – and they do not improve our experience of the Game of Life in any way.” —Joshua Free, PC-8, Conquest of Illusion and Pathway to Ascension (Vol.1)
The most desirable position (or solution) is to simply be in such “good condition” (as an Actualized Seeker) that these “external” other-determined) efforts do not have enough “impact” to invalidate you—that your level of Awareness “exceeds” the degree or level of energy or force being “thrown at” you, and it may be essentially dissolved “As-It-Is.”
