GREETINGS & SALUTATIONS!

Welcome to the Special Annual 2014 Anniversary installment of New Babylon Rising, the sixth online eZine issue developed in a continuous effort dedicated to preserving the most ancient literary records and their traditions — primarily those cuneiform — shedding new light on the origins and development of human beliefs, internal potential and external demonstrations, especially concerning antiquated divine encounters, the societal establishment of artificial “systems” among the population and fragmented religious, esoteric or occult knowledge regarding superior spiritual technologies.

Modern Assyriology: Exploring the Ancient Near East – Understanding the Babylonian Paradigm

Iraqi Freedom

While many folk are familiar with and taught traditional knowledge and lore of the “classic era” of the Romans and Greeks, with occasional ventures into pop-culture mythologies of Egyptians, it seems that little or no attention is given to the source of all this: the Mesopotamian region and the Middle East…

MesopotamianReligionFrontcrop [This mardukite.com blog post is officially excerpted from the essay “Toward a New Babylonian Vision” by Joshua Free, first appearing in 2009 Ruby Edition of Liber L and reappearing as one of the introductory prefaces for the Mardukite Research Organization core sourcebook anthology: Necronomicon – The Anunnaki Bible, now in its sixth edition!]

…But, What is even more counter-productive for the Western world, politics with current world leaders and sects from those regions clouds the ability of the ego to accept anything from them. And what’s more, being that the traditions are pre-Christian in origin and agricultural or “earth-oriented,” they are subject to the same negative stereotypes that contemporary folk associate with any and all things considered “heathen” or “pagan” and really without just-cause.

Babylon2 It is important to understand that the study of this lore and observation of diverse traditions are not restricted to a particular region or culture, they simply seem to originate from a specific source, as did human civilization as a whole. With the spread of the human race followed the spread of the tradition which seemed to take on new forms and colors as it passed from generation to generation across the expanse of the planet.

Life-giving powers and their symbolic representations also appear to have been influenced by time and geography. While the sanctity of the “Sacred Fire” and the flame become apparent in the traditions and systems of the west and north, the people who originated the traditions more closely to the planetary equator more closely identify with the Waters of Life, most closely identified with ENKI (or PTAH in the Egyptian Tradition).

MesopotamianThumb The name Mesopotamia literally means: between or midway of two rivers, referring to the Euphrates and the Tigris, but the sacredness of water does not end here, as we can see that all the originating cultures that we can still identify or connect the source tradition to (non-nomadic) emerged or cultivated around key waterways: the Indus River Valley, the Nile, the Danube (Rhune/Rhine) and
even the Amazon.

The Sumerians called the Euphrates, BUR.AN.UN and it was also known as “Perath” or PU.RA.TU. The 1,800 mile long river begins to rise in late March, just about the time of the Spring Equinox, recognized as the start of the annual Zodiacal Wheel and also the famous A.KI.TI New Year Festival. The Tigris, known as I.DI.IK.LAT and ID.IG.NA (and called the “Serpent River” by some Arab sects) is somewhat shorter at only 1,150 miles and begins to rise at the opposite half of the year, usually coinciding with the Autumn Equinox.

cuneisdgsdg According to historical geologists, the flow of the Euphrates has actually moved westward with age and there is actually more land in Babylonia at present than during ancient times given the shrinking of the Persian Gulf (by 72 feet per year). The fertile alluvial soil in southern Babylonia created a distinct environment by contrast to the northern regions of Mesopotamia. Even the Babylonian region was divided between southern SUMER and northern AKKAD (Agade).

Each of the city-states was originally ruled by its own “Patesi” until eventually the battle for supremacy resulted in a unification of the two lands (as similarly occurred later in Egypt) under a single “King of Sumer and Akkad”, eventually known as the LUGAL or “Great Man”. The esteem of this position also included a mention in the “Book of Kings” [Tablet K] and local government was watched over by priest-kings who adhered to a “Book of the Law” [Tablet L] of which the Code of Hammurabi was largely based on…

This mardukite.com blog post is officially excerpted from Liber K, Enochian Magic & Kabbalah: Summoning Angels, Aliens, UFOs & Other Divine Encounters by Joshua Free — also found in the Mardukite chamberlains Year-4 Anthology History of the Necronomicon in addition to the Year-3/Year-4 mega-anthology Necronomicon Gnosis.

…Wholeness comes from repairing the ‘fractured cracks’ of our understanding so that we might be ‘view’ and ‘experience’ reality with ‘clear’ and ‘self-honest’ eyes.

babel98769878 Concerning the implications for modern times, there is no shortage as we see the literary works, organizations and even less organized members of the community still flock to these methods and practices for a means to ‘ascension’ or ‘enlightenment’ during this lifetime. Although the ‘hidden’ and ‘esoteric’ lore of the Enochian system as well as the rites and system of the Golden Dawn that revived its use are no longer veiled from public view and accessibility, the ‘courage’ or ‘will’ to actually endeavor upon these Kabbalistic paths is still in want…

…Many people, even among today’s “New Agers” are still lacking in the appropriate knowledge to carry themselves along these paths and have them be ‘realized’ to their truest or fullest extent!

1001015_318340804969022_2026839541_n So long as people have been forced into a paradigm where the spiritual and mystical encounters of the past are made to look ‘ridiculous’, without basis and a fantasy-legend to tell our children to get them to sleep, no real ‘advancement’ can be made on the understanding and practical incorporation of these mysteries into everyday life. For this reason, the more ‘orthodox’ and ‘static’ systems of religion and spirituality that have dominated the Piscean Age are seeing a decline in membership and true practitioners for the simple fact that we are realizing more and more just how ‘fragmented’ they have actually become. And since we do not see the ‘greater systems’ bending at all to the new realizations available, it is us who must do the changing and usher in a new and authentic ‘paradigm shift’, which is what this whole “New Age” (Aquarian) is supposed to be about in the first place.

>>>MARDUKITE BOOKSTORE<<<

Babylon2 We are also witnessing a rise in interest in the materials and resources that provide clues into this ancient and forgotten past at face value, meanwhile there is a decline in distribution in specifically ‘magick’ or ‘occult’ materials that saw such mainstream popularity in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Since there are few actual organizations and research groups publicly active (outside the Mardukites) that are examining these facets as interconnected, most of the public is still of the mindset that ‘new age revivals’, ‘ceremonial holy magic’, ‘religious spirituality’, ‘governing systems of politics’, ‘ancient sky gods’, and ‘inter-dimensional’ or ‘alien’ beings are all mutually exclusive to one another, sharing no singular basis, and at best, the flights of imagination by primitive minds. No wonder we need change!

vlcsnap-2011-08-13-21h32m43s221 While new technological advancements bring no shortage to the intellectual Ego of the human mind, the entire purpose of existence, the source of the human species and the knowledge and paths that brought us to where we are now, have all been left behind, swept under a rug or otherwise been ‘concealed’ from the ‘commonplace reality’ of contemporary life. Assuming things were to remain so, the human race would be successful in only destroying themselves and leaving a huge mark on the planet in its wake – change must come, for the alternative is annihilation. Reexamination of the most ancient tablet renderings of the Anunnaki and the way in which they had initially developed among the local populations (to Mesopotamia) thousands of years ago should help to shed new light on the history of human civilization, the development of its cultural and religious beliefs and the way in which this interaction between people and god has affected their lives.

nexgensysss Today, in spite of the ‘normalcy’ attached to orthodox religions, humans live and act as a godless people, with no fear of someone watching over them in addition to being simply content with operating the program as they have been given it. As the ‘next generation’ rises into maturity, under-standing and power, we believe that these things will change; that new eyes and new vision will bring a New Babylon – a new world – to the planet and new evolutionary potential for the life living upon it…

The idea of ‘summoning’, ‘conjuring’, ‘invoking’ or otherwise initiating contact with the ‘other’ from our side of reality is nothing new – in fact it is the very basis of ALL ‘magic’ and ‘spirituality’ known to man. In modern times, however, one really must examine the self-honest desire to accomplish such a feat given the societal programming from the public and the media toward such things. The “Divine” is not interested in making spectacle appearances, nor do “angelic” messengers wish to make a physical visitation in such a way that might threaten their own existence based on the way in which humans and human governments (and military) are most likely to meet with such encounters. For this reason, it has always seemed to be the most pious and devoted that are ‘blessed’ with these experiences.
Joshua Free in Liber K

LIBER K

LIBER K

That divine encounters seem possible at all is some-thing that most people are required to take on faith, either in regard to human history or for the basis of their own spiritual tradition. However, without the possibility of these things, any pursuits outside the mundane would seem pointless and less ‘real’ than the world we are most likely to be facing outside each day. The truth of the matter is really the exact opposite; that the ancient world was based on the harmonic relationship between humans and the ‘other’ and that it has only been “us” who have now separated, forgotten and dismissed these beings who are no longer as present among us. We have become stubborn and spiteful children with feelings of abandonment and it is up to us to reclaim that unity and bridge the gap, no longer waiting for an ‘other’ to make the first move…

Oldest Writings Reveals Sumerian Anunnaki Stargate Religion Seeks All-as-One God

claytabletsheader

Cuneiform tablet sources, the most ancient written records kept by humans, identify The Primordial Abyss, which later came to be viewed as the “all-source” for the first manifestations of material existence — it was originally nameless…

SumerianReligion2ndfrntcrop [This mardukite.com blog post is officially excerpted from Mardukite Liber 50, available as Sumerian Religion by Joshua Free, materials also found in the Year-2 anthology Gates of the Necronomicon and the mega-anthology Necronomicon: The Anunnaki Legacy silver edition.]

Fundamentally, the beauty and simplicity of the infinitude of space and pure potentiality of existence is enough for an “All-Existing Being” — but this is an almost “static” existence with no forces in movement – quite simply All-is-One (or none!) in the universe.

The non-existence was not animated, not yet manifest and so required the “motion” of existence. This was born of duality, but of the highest spiritual intent and not to be confused with physical morality – for it was by the vary opposition of the currents of “chaos” and “order” set in motion with a gentle pendulum-like drive toward constant activity with one another that caused existence.

cuneisdgsdg A common interpretation of the ancient Sumerian semantics of this All-Being is best given as “ILU” in Chaldeo-Babylonian literature, a concept derived from the Sumerian “DIN.GIR” meaning essentially the “All-God”, drawn from the Source, but later pantheistic interpretations would translate this as a plural form: gods.

[SUMERIAN RELIGION — Prolific writer, Joshua Free, presents this topic such as the modern world has never before had access to, developed from the revolutionary work conducted by the next generation of Seekers actively using a revival Anunnaki tradition in the present day…]

The name ILU was held in reverence to the priests of Babylon who sought to “re-connect” with this source by “ascending” the “Ladder of Lights” or “BAB.ILU”The Gateway to/of God (also known as the “Tower of Babel”). Later, when the name became blended with “gods” it was also connected to “stars” and the function of such became more clearly defined to some as a “Gateway to the Stars” or (as Daniel Jackson would prefer) a StarGate.

SumRelSet The simplicity is immediately shattered when enter the philosophers and religious scientists for we have all-too-easily overlooked the stumbling block of our most ancient tablets concerning divinity.

“[For] the idea of Ilu was too comprehensive and too vast to receive a very definite exterior form, and consequently [too obscure for] the adoration of the people. The personality of Ilu was not clearly defined for a long time; his office and title as ‘God One’ were at first given to Anu, ‘the ancient god,’ and the first person of the supreme trinity, which was afterward held to emanate from Ilu; the priests did not distinguish the primordial principle from the chief of this trinity.”
–M. Lenormant, Chaldean Magic & Sorcery (1874)

Biblical scholars now have conceded to the idea that the Semitic books of Genesis are indeed the product of a far more ancient Mesopotamian influence. God, the creator of existence, is found alone and everywhere at once, a “primordial sea” washing through an infinite abyss.

cunei “First was the primeval sea. Nothing concerning the origin or creation of the primeval sea has as yet been discovered in the available Sumerian texts, and the indications are that the Sumerian sages looked upon the primeval sea as a kind of first cause and prime mover, never asking themselves what preceded it in time and space.”
–S.N. Kramer, Sumerian Mythology (1944)

Mardukite Zagmuk — Babylonian Akitu Akiti Spring Equinox New Year Festival

zagmuk

The Babylonian observation of the annual (solar) year starts with the ‘Mardukite’ observation of ‘zagmuk’ – meaning ‘the beginning of the year’ or ‘new year’. This 12-day festival is fixed to arrange its height at the beginning of the month of Nissanu, the ‘Spring Equinox’ or March 21st, also coinciding with the beginning of the astrological wheel, when the sun enters Aries.

BoZceremonialthumb [This mardukite.com blog officially excerpted from Liber Z, available as the full-color ceremonial The Book of Zagmuk edition or within the Mardukite Magick anthology, based on the article first appearing in New Babylon Rising.]

The ZAGMUK festival is significant for its contributions toward solidifying both the religious and political paradigms of Mardukite Babylon. The festival is also known by its Sumerian-derived Akkadian name – A.KI.TI (or A.KI.TU) – meaning ‘On Earth, Life.‘ This large public festival observance is a reconfirmation of the supremacy of MARDUK and the Babylonian Pantheon and is the single most important ancient ‘holiday’ for the tradition.

zagakitu

After the time of gods had come and gone, the priests and kings continued to observe the ceremonial customs using representative statuary to symbolized the ‘divine’ forms of MARDUK and NABU as they make a procession through the streets of Babylon and are placed in the temples to witness a dramatic reenactment of the Enuma Elis and other rites and rituals that commemorate the ‘Mardukite’ tradition (paradigm) and seal the position of the priests and king as the ‘chosen’ ambassadors and intermediaries between the ‘gods’ of heaven and the people of earth.

mardukitemgkthumbb Although the materials have been put forth prior in the Mardukite cycle, this ceremonial edition of The Book of Zagmuk (compiled from these other sources) is provided for the benefit of the modern movement and for posterity – specifically the preservation of this tradition; which is paramount to the continued efforts of the Mardukite Chamberlains (Mardukite Research Organization).

Most scholars recognize only ‘agricultural’ and not necessarily the ‘political’ and ‘mystical’ purpose of the observation, which begins twelve days before crops begin to be planted, apparently the fourth day of the month named Nissanu. Others suggest that the month itself began with the festival, or that the observation was astronomical, matching the exact time the sun enters Aries, which would differ from year to year given precession. Traditional astrology does not take this into account and is plotted based on the ‘snapshot’ taken of the heavens during the Age of Aries.

newbabylonissue3coverthumb Each of the twelve festival days begins at dawn. The ‘high priest’ of the Temple of Marduk – The ESAGILA or ‘House of Marduk‘ – goes and prepares the temple and ceremonial areas prior to dawn, then makes a ‘general invocation’ to Marduk at dawn, before the image of the god in his shrine…

The Book of Zagmuk by Nabu is a specially prepared ceremonial text and selected ‘tablet collections’ that combine materials from the 2011 handbook “Mardukite Wizards of the Wastelands” in conjunction with critical excerpts from Joshua Free’s ‘Necronomicon Anunnaki Bible‘ and essentially comprising the internal methods of the ‘Order of Nabu-Tutu’ to establish Mardukitereligious‘ continuity and the royal legitimacy of MARDUK at the apex of the Babylonian Pantheon using the Babylonian New Year Festival, Akitu (Akiti) or Zagmuk, reviving the same process used by ancient priests of the Sumerian Anunnaki in Mesopotamia!
